Aiming - Server Based?

Hello!

I’ve been enjoying the tech preview so far. Especially with all of the customizability. It is fantastic and I can tell that 343i has likely built their best game yet.
However, my friends and I have been experiencing some “weirdness” with the sensitivity and deadzones when we are in these matches with bots. For example, when we play around in the Academy to test out the weapons and change our controller settings or layouts, the same settings that we have do not translate well to certain bot matches. We’ve experienced changes in look sensitivity when someone lags/quits out of the lobby. Sometimes it feels like our look acceleration has increased dramatically and another time it will feel like it is being weighted down.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? Has this been mentioned before by 343?

I just got my email. I’ll check it out once i get up and running.

YES!!! You are not the only one who has experienced this.

I’ve definitely noticed some weirdness. I feel like aiming in the academy is much more consistent than in bit slayer. Maybe more aim assist or magnetism or something.

yeah ive noticed some funkyness as well and melle hits not registering happened to me about 7x now but its a RARE issue already known apparently.

the settings are definitely bugged. some stick some dont, even on PC. I will have to change my sensitivity change every launch of the game

Right. Changing your settings at the beginning of every launch is a known issue. I’m referring to look sensitivity changing in-game while shooting at the bots.
Since the addition of the newer map, I’ve experienced drastic stuttering and sensitivity issues. I’ve capped my FPS at 60 and that seemed to help with the stuttering, but when I go from walking around the map to looking at the bots, it is as if my look sensitivity has changed from about 4.0 to 12.0 just from looking at the bots. It’s bizarre.

Alright, I figured it out. It was my monitor that was the issue.
I have two monitors, one that is 1440p/144hz and another that is 1080p/144hz. I found out through trial and error that playing on my 1440p monitor at 1080p resolution created the issue I was dealing with. There might be a significant delay.
