“I’ve been on every thread that addresses this screaming at the top of my lungs “PLEASE GIVE US OUR HALO BACK!!!” I love EVERYTHING about this game, but the aiming mechanics are horrible!!! If we keep making noise about it, they’ll have to change it or lose their fan base. We’ve been playing this game longer than they’ve been working on it. It feels like a slap in the face when Josh Holmes says in teambeyond.net to pretty much “get used to it”. We shouldn’t have to get used to our favorite game! It should come naturally like EVERY other Halo. Please fix this 343!!! It’s out of love we want our game back!!! This game is amazing but when you can’t aim in a shooter, it kills the experience. Please patch it soon!!!”

The main problem I have with the sights and aiming mechanics is when I get tagged and it drops my sights. I’m supposed to be a spartan so many times I’ve missed kills cause the sights have dropped just as I’m about to shoot someone
I actually like the new system, It always ate away at me that a highly trained super soldier only hip fired most weapons, and couldn’t aim at all with others, This version makes WAY more sense, and the Aim disable when hit is also nice, and has a much much more realistic feel to it, it also has a bit of a balancing element to it, in halo 4-3-2 The AR and “magnum” were basically useless because the BR simply dominated every single aspect of range and damage, but now every weapon has a much better chance of being lethal simply due to screwing with the aim of the longer range weapons…to be honest ever sense halo 2 and the introduction of the Battle Rifle, I’ve been waiting for some change, I just got tired of the BR being the ONLY weapon you ever needed because it pretty much beat everything anyway.
Halo 1 is the only halo where everything was lethal, Yep, the pistol was pretty op, but only in long range, up close everything was great…even the plasma pistol WITH OUT over charge
ADS does not increase accuracy. It simply provides another way to see things, but it actually obstructs your vision further. It isn’t a big deal really.
As for your efforts to change 343’s mind, you failed as soon as you purchased the game. To talk to a company, you ACT then back it up with a REASON.
ACTION: not purchasing product or purchasing it later at a lower price (do not pirate or buy used, no one will care about your opinion then)
REASON: ADS is in the game.

Descoping is a classic halo mechanic. It makes long ranged firefights more even.
When you get descoped, your shot is still lined up - so if you were using a sniper rifle for example, and you had a headshot lined up, and you fired right after getting descoped - you would still get that headshot. You would also get the snapshot medal.
lol to those who think it’s about “ADS” No. It’s about aim acceleration. the longer you turn in a direction, the faster it turns. it’s a -Yoink- and wonky feature an any medium of gaming, mouse and controller alike. 343 just tells us “lol too bad” no. give us the option. no exceptions.
