Probably has more to do with the -Yoink- Xbox One controllers sloppy sticks than the game itself, but I -Yoinking!- hate playing this game. Even when I’m doing good the aiming just frustrates the -Yoink- out of me. Returning this -Yoink- in the morning.

Mine is fine and I’m using a stock controller. The new options with the update have allowed me to make the aiming just like previous games.
Buy some thumb grips, see if that works.

I doubt my aim magically crashed the moment Halo 5 came out. I do a hell of a lot better playing on my PS4.

yeah the xbox 360 controller was better
you can buy a battle beaver and they put in the old sticks like the 360 has
i have one it helps a lot
xbox one controller is the big issue here the game has nothing to do with it beside you need destiny aim assist to be good.

Sorry to be so blunt, but this game has little aim assist with most weapons.
I’ve been playing Halo since the release of Halo 2 and only Halo, I haven’t had a problem with the aiming in Halo 5 since release.
I think most of the game is -Yoink- anyways, so I’ll be happy to get some of my money back. Good talk.
You may have to adjust your sensitivity. This is the first time I have really had to adjust mine. I used to only use default and now I use three or four.

Second, xbox controllers are cheaply made, the sticks get loose and don’t respond well even after a week of game time. My stock Xb1 controller barely 1 month old and the sticks are loose and feel so different when new.
But mostly, blame 343 for this aiming because its awful. Im on the verge of selling this game too
Get the elite controller…it does wonders for your aiming
I would bet it has more to do with the lag comp more than anything.
I believe it’s been said multiple times that the aiming was tailored to feel the way it does due to the scaling of the game and the frequency of more longer-range combat…
It allows for fine-adjustments at longer ranges, while still functioning well in close range (I bumped my sensitivity to 7… used 4 in previous games), although because of the aforementioned design-intent, it feels a little different than in the past
No, the aiming is not “broken.” Every Halo has felt a little different… H5 is no exception and this is a non-issue.

For this post alone, you pretty much gave evidence to yourself being trash. You have a 3rd party controller which was poorly designed. no wonder you play like trash. Tweaking the sensitivity/acceleration/dead zones worked out my kinks from the beginning of the game.
