i’m kinda really hoping for be able to aim down sights with guns instead of “Zooming” its pretty standard in FPS games. Not being able to do it really makes the game feel dated. but i could live without it in halo, since halo is a differnt kind of fps. but its really something i would love to have put into the game
Why? Not everything needs to turn into a generic shooter. Halo has absolutely no need for an ADS feature.
I think it would change Halo. It would really be a major change to the traditional gameplay. I think that’s what sets Halo apart from other shooters. I think we should just let Halo be Halo, and not CoD/GoW.

If I wanted to aim down the sights on my gun, I would play Call of Duty, so…no. The click to zoom in works perfectly fine, that’s one of the reasons why I like Halo so much. It’s makes the gameplay fast paced so to speak.

However, I would not mind seeing ADS make an appearance in, say, a sequel to ODST. That’d make a lot more sense.
ADS is only used for a game that uses an entire system of inaccurate hip-firing, and since there is logically and canonically no need for inaccurate hip-firing in Halo, there is therefore no need for ADS in Halo.
ADS will kill Halo for me and probably the same for many people.

NO NO NO NO! That will ruin Halo completely!
Besides, Masterchiefs armor links with the weapon he’s holding and puts a recticle on his heads up display so it’s easiers to aim so to make it so we aim down sights would break the canon. So unless 343 wants to ruin the canon and gameplay of Halo, they wont.

It wouldn’t even make sense. Some guns don’t have sights and your helmet automatically shows the reticule of where the bullets would hit. Plus the scopes actually link up to your helmet and zoom in that way.
