Nope kara. You’re not crazy. Its messed up and I’m kinda suspecting that why they’re being vague on what the patch is supposed to fix. I could be wrong. We’ll see.
They say when the patch is coming out?
Okay, I did some testing and found out this:
1.) If I start the game with the controller off and turn it on once I’m in the menu, then aim feels as I’m used to it.
2.) But if I turn controller on prior to starting the game, it feels off - it feels as if there is almost no dead zones on thumb sticks, and it’s very fast. Not sure if acceleration is present or not, but “flicks” to score those finishing headshots are crazy and my aim just goes way off way too fast. It feels way too responsive.
So yea the problem is that controller gets two different settings depending when it is turned on and I’m not sure which are the “default” or “correct” ones. In infinite settings nothing changes, it show the same values.
As I’m playing on steam there is always message that my “bmxrider” settings were applied to controller, doesn’t matter when I turn it on. And in steam I have only xbox one controller enabled and I’ve tried calibration of the dead zones to both extremes (in steam controller settings), nothing changes.
I would really love to see some dev to share some light on this? Atm I’m happy I found temporary solution, but would like to know what is going on. Maybe this is some known “issue” that I just haven’t found out about- like steam settings intervening or something?
Ayy,
