Aim Down Sights not ok

I really hope someone at 343 sees this
All in all I know that the game is buggy and you guys are working on it so this isn’t about a bug but the ADS in game. The way it kicks you out of ADS when you get hit is really broken making majority game play hip fire out of necessity. If you were aiming down sight and flinched off your target that would be ok or even have the camera effect seem like it kicks you without actually converting between the sensitivity modes, but when your tracking a target down the sights then get shot and end up jerking your camera way off target because its swaps from ADS sensitivity to hip fire to ADS again is very very broken…
Please fix that one feature
That is my 1 real complaint from the flight so far. I have experienced a lot of bugs but all in all I think you guys are doing a great job and know you’re working on getting them fixed as fast as possible. Just please fix the ADS kick. Replace the kick with flinch or don’t let kick change sensitivity as long as left trigger is held, either way would work.
Thanks for reading.

I’ve yet to get my hands on the Infinite Flight (I truly wish to, I know it’s against bots… I don’t care lol) but this already is something I can get behind.

From my understanding this is supposed to be a form of “check and balances” against snipers and long ranged fighters. Hipfire will work for a majority of the time, when I was watching an Infinite Pro-match I noticed they rarely scoped to begin with. It seems like this is just a Halo thing. I do find it annoying but it’s apparently the counter to long range. Whip out that AR and those little pellets from a distance will still cause the scope to return to hip.

Personally, I wish this feature was damage based. If you’re at a distance taking 1-10% damage of your health per few seconds I think “lore-wise” a Spartan would be able to continue aiming. If you got sniped for 40-100% of shields it would make more sense to remove ADS so as to help the Spartan realize they’re gonna, welp, go MIA.

Descope has always been a thing in halo from CE-reach then 4 changed it from descope to flinch and recieved such backlash and preformed so poorly that it was change din three months back to dsescope
descope been a thing since 2001

Let halo be halo my dude

Descoping when shot has basically always been in Halo and should always stay in it. They took it out for Halo 4 and that is widely considered one of the weakest games in the series.

That’s not a bug that needs to be fixed, it’s literally this way by design.
Descope is one of the core staples of Halo. If you play Halo, you’re gonna have to deal with descope.
I just played Halo 4 this weekend to grind the 15 ranked wins for the seasonal challenge. Halo 4 has flinch and it plays horrible.

Also, it’s not Aim Down Sights. It’s Zoom. ADS has no place in Halo.

seriously did anyone read the post…
dont give two craps about the descoping its the sensitivity swap thats an issue
never been an issue before cause zoom used to be a right stick click but now that its a left trigger thing its broken and needs fixed
sensitivity should switch as long as left trigger is held even if there is a sight kick

when the sensitivity snaps from slow to fast to slow again its broken and if you think thats normal you’re just an idiot
no other game has this issue including other halo games so -Yoink!-
take aa out and stop condescending you millenial trash

Ad Hominem attacks instead of actually addressing my argument, not surpring
The aim feels a whole hell of a lot better then the two-turn aim system in H5, this is the best aiming has felt since H3
Sorry you don’t agree

not once has your post been relevant to my post and you talk about me addressing your argument??
The aiming is beautiful, the sensitivity swap mid aim where its broken
just stop talking if you’re just gonna be a toxic pos

So switch it back. The first thing I did was change the controls back to actual Halo button mapping (Zoom on RS, Melee on B, etc.).

Of the two of us, one has been insulting and personally attacking the other one and one has not
I’m fairly certain anyone who reads this exchange will be able to tell who the “toxic pos” has been
cheers

more intuitive and natural

the sensitivity swap? Do you have your zoom sense different from normal? For me, it’s the same I don’t have this issue.

Sorry, but then you’re gonna have to deal with it.
It’s still not a bug to be “fixed”, it’s that way by design: Unscoped has different sensitivity than scoped. That’s the way it’s supposed to be. It’s never been different, even when you had zoom on hold instead of toggle.

my from the hip sensitivity is up at 6.5 and my zoom is at default which is somewhere around 1.4 or something so when I zoom it in and start shooting a moving target then get shot my sights shoot far in which ever direction then it zooms back in cause i’ve never taken my finger off the left trigger slowing my sensitivity back down
it just annoying and i’ve already started to adapt to it by strafe aiming but it is something broken that should be addressed.
kicking out of zoom would be fine as long as the sensitivity swap didn’t happen as long as left trigger is held

I thought 1.0 made it the same as your hip sensitivity? That’s what a dev told me anyway.
