Aim assist software for mouse and keyboard

So my cousin and I were chatting and he mentioned to me that he found some software that made a virtual controller input for mouse and keyboard, basically adding controller aim assist to mouse and keyboard. I recoiled pretty much instantly saying that would probably get him banned, but after I did some searching around (several google searches lol) I was unable to find any documentation that stated it was a bannable offense, but mostly that it was pretty unethical.
So my question is, is using a virtual controller to get aim assist on mouse and keyboard a bannable offense?

unfortunately people will take whatever advantage they can get.

People cheat on PC.
People cheat on console.

No way around it until developers take action.

Yes he will get banned. Its basically like using Cronusmax on Console (Basically registering ur keyboard and mouse as controller). Why doesn’t he just use controller (I know the answer for it but still just wanted to ask why).

wow that’s scummy. as a pc and console gamer since doom 2 i feel ashamed and apologise that not all pc gamers are like this.

Okay, but if he can get banned, how do you know that? Is there written documentation on it that can be cited?

It 3rd party software any 3rd party software is a ban able on halo

It isnt even needed either way.
Game plays great on PC and i dont notice console players doing any better.
