Aim assist question

Hi, I have a technical question.

Could you tell me why if I play on TMCC (or Destiny or COD), the viewfinder goes where I want, while on this game it goes where he wants?

I’m not a new player, I’ve been playing halo for a lifetime. Since Halo 2 (2004). I just know that even if you set the dead zones correctly, aiming with the right stick is a mess.

I still don’t understand what’s strange about this game… it is a problem with aim assist or something else? I read everywhere that there is too much aim assist on the console. So, what is the problem?

Having matches with planety of players having above 50% accuracy, and even over 60%. Better question…how are they not suffering the same problem you are?

I messed with my settings for a good amount of time before dialing my settings in. I play a custom game to warm up before I play each time I get on. It’s a different game with different movement speed, different levels of aim assist etc. The weapons themselves have their own hidden stats.

Go to my waypoint post, I go over why aiming feels off in Infinite compared to previous Halos and how to fix it.

Copy all but the quotes and it should get you there. Hope it helps.

thanks for the link, but I was already using max output speed and have already tried to increase the FOV.

I’m Diamante 3, I have 54% shot accuracy and 63% HS accuracy. It should be good, yet it’s not like that because I have to work a lot to be so precise, whereas in previous games it was much simpler / instinctive.

I try to explain. On Halo 2 (but it could be any old Halo) if an enemy hops close to me and I have to use the aiming stick, I can always keep the scope on the opponent’s head. On Halo Infinite no, it tends to slip out of the critical zone.

my settings are: 4 horizontal, 5.5 vertical, 3 acceleration. If I go down further I become too slow and I can no longer follow the enemies. I don’t think it’s a setting problem, it’s something about the game that’s different than before.

What I did not understand is if it is an aim assit problem, less than in the past. Why do I often read players saying that there is too much aim assit, so if aim assist is not less, could it be something else that confuses me and many others?

You just really have to be super gentle with the right stick….strafe aim mostly and until you have it down, try not to jump…if you go into training mode work on your aim in there…I’d play it until your dumping in the spartan difficulty. Training mode is really only useful imo to work on your aim and efficiency with the weapons. Beat of luck my man!

I also heard when an app one thing loses shield you lose aim assist…don’t know how true that is but I feel like there has to be some truth to it…lastly hit body shots until you break their shields then flick to the head

What you seem to be describing is that you lose aim assist during gunfights. This has been widely reported as issues with aim assist either dropping or being reduced during jumping or when enemy shields pop. I’d also suggest the server desync has a part to play in all of this…as in your enemy isn’t where you think they are on your screen therefore no longer inside the aim assist zone.

Yes bro, I have to be kind to the right stick I had understood  mine was a purely technical question about why you should be so kind. Is it less aim assist than in the past? because some say there is too much so I wonder if the reason is something else, that’s all. Perhaps only developers can answer this question.

In this game there is a severe lack of aim assist, even on pc
