Aim assist on PC with Xbox controller?

So I’ve been playing for a couple weeks, slowly grinding for the recon helmet so that I can stop playing this game. But I’m curious, is there no aim assist if you’re on PC with a wired in Xbox One controller? It sure doesn’t feel like it. I’ve been assuming that I just suck compared to H5 or H3 but now with how incompetent 343 has shown itself to be, I am wondering if people who are using game pass not on Xbox are getting screwed lol. Either way I don’t care, it means I suck or that it’s another reason not to play this one.

There is aim assist but there is no red reticle, which can make it difficult to determine when the aim assist is actually working.

It takes some practice but you’ll pick up what ranges it kicks in for each gun.

Right on. Like I said I probably just suck. I can’t play as well as i did on 5 or 3 lol. I just was gonna feel bad for the hardcore gamers on PC using Xbox pass

It’s definitely a different game, plus the assortment of different bugs (namely the weird hit registration and all round lag) make it even more difficult. Stick with it, you’ll get better. But I can hardly blame you if you wanted to wait a few updates.

Tested some stuff with bots, definitely not getting aim assist. Don’t know if it’s from the mouse picking up vibrations from something like my cell while it’s on my desk or if it’s just like this in general. Not a big deal, was just curious. Aim assist wasn’t gonna be what keeps me around or drives me away anyways lol

AA is on PC… sometimes it genuinely glitches away. If you’re not using BR to test your AA, you likely wouldn’t recognise AA on PC anyways without red reticule (which we cannot get). This is because AA is actually much tighter across all weapons EXCEPT notable for the BR.

To be clear, the BR is also tight for acquiring AA, but the ranges at which it does are broad and versatile on the arena maps; more often than not the BR battles will find AA during close-mid to mid to mid-long engagements.

Once you know the feel of AA on PC Infinite, and you’re confident it has glitched off, most people restart the game and AA returns.

I play on pc with an elite 2 controller. There is aa but no red reticle. What I do notice is when an enemy’s shield is popped aa is greatly reduced. I can tell because when I’m practicing with bots, if I break the shield on the bot in front the aim assist suddenly goes away and is “attracted” to the fully-shielded bot directly behind it.
