Compared to other Halo games, the assist here almost feels none excitant, that is until you’ve gotten used to it. But wouldn’t you agree?
Agree, has been discuessed much already here. They need to improve it.
I think it’s more the range the AA is effective. Since I’ve been using the weapons at their optimal ranges I’ve been doing really well. It was weird to get my head around the fact the AR is a longer range weapon than the Sidekick.
In past halos, you could really see aim assist defined as you strafe over an enemy target. I haven’t really noticed that in this game. It’s probably why fights are stressful with most weapons, and the BR is most comfortable one to use since its bullet burst has higher chance to hit.
All I know is, I won’t be able to play long hours cause of the stress placed on my trigger hand.
The only gun I’m actually comfortable with using is the BR. Everything else feels super-inconsistent and wonky. I don’t know what the difference is, but whatever secret sauce is in the BR, all the other guns need some of it. The gunplay feels bad :’(
I like fighting my enemies, I don’t want to fight my aim more than my enemies like I do in infinite.

Same here, BR feels good, others feel off time. Except for the AR which feels great, although I’m not sure it should.
I really hope they don’t increase the aim assist.
Aim assist is so broken in every cross multiplayer game that Mouse and Keyboard players have no chance against the strong aim assist - I guess we will just stick to CSGO and Valorant… Sigh.
Aiming in general feels broken, for both Controller and MKB.

Yes but they can’t balance weapon range by adjusting aim assist levels, that would be fine if we were all on controllers, but we have m&k players in our games mapping us with the sidekick.

Haven’t fully tested it myself because mnk doesn’t work properly on Xbox right now, but I’m fairly certain that’s what the bloom is for. Stops MNK having any noticeable advantage at range.
Either way Sidekick is less than ideal at any sort of range so engaging into a firefight from distance with it on either input is a poor idea.
I hope 343 collect the data on controller players and use it to see that aim assist need a buff.
BR feels nice though, specially in BTB, don’t know why
