I don’t know if it’s been said already but I think these planned flights are a great opportunity to test a “keyboard & mouse vs controller slayer” mode in the upcoming flight so we can see just how controllers with the current level of aim assist stack up against pc players, it would also give the devs a good view on how effective their aim assist is and can give them data for tweaking it accordingly until the games are balanced - obviously wouldn’t be a perfect test because of a lack of mmr however I think it would be good enough, and at least fun to see what happens.
I played on console during the flight and I found the assist to be great. I am pretty casual but I was landing a lot of headshots with the sidekick and commando, the AR felt magnetised to enemies too… I hope they don’t ruin how great this game felt by roiding up the aimbot to make everybody a winner

Or maybe we’ve spent our entire lives accustomed to physical feel of a controller in our hands and feel out of our element having our hands spread in a position we’ve never used before for gaming?

Are you new to Halo or something? The weapon drills will not help with LIVE combat. Not even against the damn bots at higher levels.
I agree, aim assist needs a slight buff! It didn’t feel like there was much aim assist at all.
Aim Assist definitely needs to be increased slightly. It was hard to hit any shots with the pistol.

Oh lord. This is why I wish 343 never ported any of the Halos to PC. You guys spent the most time CRYING and CRYING and CRYING about it being brought to PC since Halo 3. You realize where Halo started? On the controller. Where its popularity peaked multiplayer wise? With a controller. Where the MLG circuit was at its peak with it? A controller. Halo first and foremost brought in the xbox controller crowd. Not keyboard and mouse. I would think with that god complex of keyboard and mouse you guys wouldnt be crying your eyes out about Aim assist. No one is asking for automatic aim, or the CRAZY aim assist that was Halo 4 and 5. They managed to blend elements from halo 3, Reach and 5 movement wise. Mechanically wise, they now need to do the same by making it closer to Halo 3s aim assist. Buy a mouse and key he says. The audacity Mouse and Key players have is astounding. Lord and behold was I shocked to get MCC on PC only to get YELLED AT for out BRing or DMRing with the DEFAULT sensitivity by some mouse and key go hard for using a controller ON HALO. Its not CS-Go. This isnt Valorant, Hell Let Loose. None of that nonsense. Its HALO.

I started playing halo at the age of 11 with Halo:CE and used controller for H2, H3, Halo Reach, H4, and H5. That’s over 15 years of controller experience. But I’ve also played M&K on CSGO, Valorant and Destiny 2. There really is no excuse.

Did those games try to be other games that it wasnt? No. And the purpose of the flight is to get a reception of how the game feels and plays. Not to just like and accept everything blindly without a second though. Everyone seems to be finally good with sprint, sliding and climbing. Seems the only issue now is the matter of aim assist on controller…you do know theres an entire player population that intends to get this on Xbox where they play controller right? Especially long time fans of Halo who know Halo through controller? Right.

Yes and did they freaking nerf controller gameplay despite it existing on PC? No. They made accommodations. Hell, MCC they granted the ability to play cross platform as well, as well as based on input devices. So there really shouldnt be an issue as to why people are asking for a SLIGHT buff in Aim assist. Everyone on controller knows how too noticeable the aim assist in Later Halos (4 and 5) were and took issue with that. Now its in the complete opposite but only want, once again, a S-L-I-G-H-T buff. Saw that whole rant you said about Valorant, Destiny and CS-GO. Congrats but once again…they are not Halo. Especially Destiny. For gods sake Splitgates aiming feels more Halo than Infinite right now. If anything it feels just like Halo 3 and Reach.

> I started playing halo at the age of 11 with Halo:CE and used controller for H2, H3, Halo Reach, H4, and H5. That’s over 15 years of controller experience. But I’ve also played M&K on CSGO, Valorant and Destiny 2. There really is no excuse.
So you have prior experience playing M&K for gaming. Majority of console gamers and people who first jump to Pc Have never used a keyboard for gaming. So again, it has nothing to do with Aim assist, has more to do with using what you’re familiar with I.E the only input method most people have used throughout their life

Are you new to aiming? If you can aim in weapon drills you can aim in live combat. How about strafe during the weapon drills? DUDE??!!!

Have you realise that on average we saw a 15% to 20% greater accuracy stats for players using a controlers over MKB in the tech test ? My friends using controlers were on average getting 50 to 60% accuracy stats while MKB players were hitting a 38-47 % ???
> >
> > DO you know that with the BR you can hit target over 2 feet away off both side of the target and 1 feet+ over head ? wich literally mean you have a 7 feet x 6 feet windows to get hits wich is totally insane already ? If anything Aim assist and bullet bending should be reduced NOT BUFF … Iam really tired of peoples asking to have integreated aimbots in game so they can pretend to be better than they are … True aiming and true skills require practice and dedication , if you aint good but want to be good practice make perfect my man ! Or accept the way you are and enjoy winning and loosing some and find a playstyle that suits you instead of asking for MORE AIMBOTTING in game features

> WOAH WOAH WOAH, that aim assist was 100% nonexistent on console. I swear to god there was absolutely NO aim assist on xbox one. Maybe this is why some folks (like me) are worried about how little aim assist there is and how mkb will dominate tournaments, while others (like you) think the complete opposite? Man, if it was all a bug and infinite’s aim assist is actually supposed to be like that clip, then damn yeah it needs a little nerf. Cheers.
You realise Competitive play between MKB and Controler will not happen ? Here is the proof : Halo Infinite ranked matchmaking will separate controller and mouse players | GamesRadar+ It was already confirmed MONTHS ago that Controlers and MKB will be separated regardless of if they play on Xbone or PC the game lobby in competitive modes will be splitted base on Input devices MKB will be only playing agaisnt MKB and Controlers agaisnt controler so the excuses are very poor only social games will be allowed cross MKB/Controlers … Also there was NO justification beside Halo reach very bad FPS to such level of aimbot and bullet bending even when MKB was not even a suported input in Halo games … Many controlers players have complained about this including myself back in the Bungie days and ive seen countless Rant about Aim assist and bullet magnetism in all past halo games … COD warzone is filled with controlers cheaters and what not wich ruin the game for everyones . 343 do not have to smooth out the gameplay with aim assist anymore the game run at minimum 60FPS on old hardware and at 120fps + on Xbox Series X
Aim assist is terrible and MKB vs Controller wont happen on a competitive level so stop using it as a excuse it wont happen anyway … The discussion is Should the game be skills based ?
The reality is remoove aim assist almost compleatly and peoples will simply fall back into their own category , Halo use skills base matchmaking where you gain rank if you get better and loose rank if you are worst so at the end of the day everyones will stabilise in the category they belong to everything would stabilise and the worst players would play with the worst players of their category and the best players will play with the best players of their category each in their own lanes

That is asking for it to be easy.

I have zero problem with legitimate aim assistance like " Sensitivity reduction "to help with precision around the hitbox target slightly , but straight up aimbot , bullet bending and reticle magnetism is straight up Legit hacking
> > > >
> > > > The problem is that peoples Mainly COD 4 + players and Halo players who started playing in those franchise got addicted to aim assist , just like a cigarette smoker or a drug addict dont feel " normal " when they are lacking nicotine or drugs , the same is true for peoples addicted to aim assist , they simply do not know how to aim without it and track target … But i for one was able back in Halo 2 custom lobby to beat anyones in 1 vs 1 friendly fire match where aim assist didnt work and was friendly fire because i practice and i got good at aiming with a controler without the help of aim assist wich i hated on PC or console
> > > >

> > > >

> > > >
> > > > What i have linked about Treyarch COD was that at least you could disable aim assist if you wanted to but what i dislike is that you were putting yourself at a disavantage doing so … so In my opinion Only Uber Low KDR players or very new players should be given aim assist for a fix period of hours of play and after that its No aim assist for all
> > >
> > > Addiction? Cult? This post is ridiculously overly hyperbolic. Shooters have aim assist for controllers because it is simply not feasible to expect everyone to be able to move and aim with consistently decent accuracy by moving two analog sticks. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the level of aim assist they provided in the past, nor anything wrong with people relying on it for basic accessibility. It’s also not nearly as bad as you’re implying. The way talking, you’d think Halo’s aim assist is like GTA style auto-aim or something. Halo still requires plenty of precision to do well in matchmaking, and it requires it consistently because of the higher time to kill than generally seen in other shooters.
> >
> > You said : " it is simply not feasible to expect everyone to be able to move and aim with consistently decent accuracy by moving two analog sticks " And in planetside 2 MKB most players have less than 10 to 15 % accuracy , and good players between 20/30% and outclass players or cheater 35%+ No ones expect anyones to be performing at any level , peoples should be the way they are , if they are insanely good so be it if they are really bad so be it … there is No need nor justification to artificially boost up accuracy with built in aimbots to make peoples " better " because according to you they are to " bad " to improove ? I do not beleive that at all
> > I THINK EVERYONES can become good and improove their skills if game devs STOP holding their hands … Its like a saying its realistically impossible for a child to ride a bike on 2 wheels therfor we will put training wheels on all bikes and Never remoove them …Thumsticks on PS4+ and Xbone + Are more than decents enough to be very accurate even the thumbstick on the original Ps3 controler was very good quality while xbox controler were more confortable in the hands … thats said
> >
> > You think peoples on PC who cant be good MKB should use Hacks because they cant aim properly so they will get " aim assist " because its not realistic to expect them all to be on Shroud level of accuracy ? You know peoples have to accept to be worst than other , peoples have to accept that practice make perfect , and peoples should learn to stop asking for Aimbots AKA aim assist to give them instant gratification
>
> It’s not an aimbot though. It’s just a modicum of stabilization in a system that is not favorable for FPS aiming on it’s own. And like I said, you still have to be accurate and consistently so in you’re own right, to do well in Halo. Which still takes plenty of practice. Aim assist does nothing more than make it feasible. Stop acting like it’s some kind of training wheels. In reality, it’s much more akin to one of the actual wheels. Whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not, two analog sticks are not as precise, nor as responsive, as a mouse.
>
> And even if practice upon practice could fully make up for its total absence, which I sincerely doubt, it’s an absurd expectation for the entire population of the game. Most casual players, who will likely make up the majority, aren’t going to want to, or have time to, shell thousands of hours into the game just to be able to play like they used to. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Because at the end of the day, it’s only a video game.
It is a aimbot tho , Aimbots can be set to various level its not all cheater/aimbotter/hackers who are " rage hacker " or " obvious " hacker many sets their aimbot to be some sort of aim assist wich help with aiming and stick on target … its not all " crack down " style lock on aimbots
Aim assist is Aimbots … Ninja was a Halo Pro players on controler and he dont lie about it anymore Aim assist in games like HALO , COD or FOrtnite is basically an Aimbot and its unfair to controler players who seek to play fair and square and disable aim assist …
The only aim assist acceptable is reduction in sensitivity near hitbox … Tracking , bullet bending etc… is unaceptable in my opinion and remoove any real aiming skills from the equation … Give it a try stop using aim assist for a while and you will see even in a storymode game youd get better and youll be able to see youre true skills and it will be rewarding

Sad Aim assist junkie ,why don’t you ask for aim lock ?
