Imagine a Dark Souls in which you already have trouble hitting the monsters with your sword. Does that sound fun?

Not being adapted might have played some part. I literally had to go to a friend’s colleague’s house to play a bunch of rounds on the last day, since neither I nor my buddies were invited. I had a rough time no matter what settings I tried though. But since so many take issue with the AA on waypoint, there has to be something wrong.

even before the shortage there where still a lot of people ruining stuff older than the 2000 rtx series gpus, such as my and a couple hundred other ppl I talk to (no I don’t know them on a personal level) also you can look at steams data to see what is being used
I’m pretty sure they’re gonna make ranked BR starts, which will solve a lot of this aim assist issue as the aim assist on that gun is higher. I know some pro teams had to submit a “skin design” to 343i and the weapon it was for was the BR.
I switched between the two inputs a ton during the flight and I think the BR was the only one that really seemed perfectly balanced for me.
Sidekick, AR, and Commando at close range favoured the controller. Sniper, Skewer and Commando at mid range favoured the mouse. The BR felt fair though. There were games that I’d exclusively use the BR just to test it, and I’d finish around 55% accuracy regardless of the input. Sidekick and Commando were usually around 40-45% on MnK and 45-50% on controller. I legit think I hit maybe 5 shots total with the Sniper on controller so whatever they did to that they need to fix lol
Just practice!

Ah, yes, the “git gud” argument. It doesn’t matter that I’ve never had a problem aiming with a controller in any other Halo game, or most other shooters for that matter, the lack of aim assist in Infinite is clearly a non-issue and the people talking about it just need to get better.
> 2533274953121424;24:
> I strongly disagree I think the aim assist is about perfect, I think once the framerate improves and you get your sensitivity right everything should feel good. In the next flight I recommend turning off deadzones if you use controller and upping your FOV, that made the aiming feel a lot smoother for me.
I already did those things, I was scoring top of my team consistently. Some weapons just need a bit of smoothing, the aiming didn’t feel good on em.
BR is fine as is.

Nice, ignorant assumption. I thought the aiming didn’t feel great, I was still top of the board every game - Assuming someone with a different opinion is just bad at the game is silly. Grow up and try again.

So, you’re contributing is “You don’t know how to play” - I’ve been playing Halo as long as I’ve had thumbs. I love the way Infinite plays, but I think the aim needs to be improved. All the deadzone blah blah blah, I already know.
Its not like the aiming is awful but its OBVIOUS KB&M will have a huge advantage, or so I fear. I’d like to mitigate that. I’ve played old games like AVP2 for PC with controller, it felt closer to that in some ways that I take issue with.
Its really sad to see how every argument against this just implies that 1. They think they’re better than you and 2. You just don’t get it
I need a no aim assist option I don’t like aim assist it makes you worse literally every game has one but all the halos but in campaign there’s a skull for it like wtf why no on off -Yoinks!- ??? come on -Yoink- aim assist
Aim assist is too strong in every MCC game vs PC players. Good controller players can beat the best PC players by getting carried with aim assist. This flight was the closest to parity the two have ever been and it still looked better for controllers.
Halo has always been on the extremes of aim assist where I would just call it auto aim, to the point where MMC PC players are at a disadvantage to controller users. I think it needs to be in the middle somewhere. What I will say is warthog turrets with a mouse are extremely OP so hopefully when vehicles come out in infinite that gets tweaked.
Crossplay or not, mouse and keyboard can now be used on Xbox x/s. Input device can be separated in ranked games but I believe socials will not allow the separation of input devices

Aim Assist, you mean Auto Aim with Left Trigger pull? Then scope and shoot?
I prefer the controller over a mouse and keyboard. Hard to whip a Mouse around 180. Aiming is better, but you can get good with a controller. I feel Aim Assist makes games too easy. Adds a hit Left Trigger to lock on to the next person and just fire. No skill, no aiming, no movement. Just tap left Trigger for lock and fire. That needs to be gone.
Aim Assist, I shut it off. Shows true skill at that point. To each their own.

You seem to be referring to the Rockstar method of auto-lock. Auto aim in Halo just means slowing the reticule down over targets.
By your own admission you don’t play a lot of Halo multiplayer. Perhaps you should experience it first before passing judgement on topics you don’t seem to understand?

no. There’s no reason for Halo to feel so different to any other shooter, especially when so many people feel it strange and are reporting that aiming feels like a chore (which sould not be).

Division 2, CoD, Battlefield any Shooter uses that. Aim Assist means slowing down the reticle? Thats a new definition. Customize your controller. Does the same thing. I have an Elite Controller 2, change my sensitivity and movement in zones or out of zones. You are asking for the Software to make your shots better.
I think I understand, you want the game to make it easier for you to kill people, others seem fine with it. Your opinion is just that, an opinion. No one is passing Judgement, stating that Aim assist in every other game is auto aim. Not sure why it would change here. Yeah, I don’t play a lot of Halo online, it has not been very fun in the last few releases. Playing on Gamespy back in 2001 was more fun than previous Halo online. Does not mean I have no idea how games work, that’s just ignorance.
I’ve always liked the amount of aim assist in every Halo game. It always feels smooth and controller friendly when playing any Halo ego shooter. Didn’t turn me into a pro gamer though.
Other ego shooters I’ve played so far with a controller never reached same kinda good feeling of smoothness. Also one of many reasons why Halo was always fun to play so far.
Infinite’s aiming however feels like some other ego shooter… choppy and bumpy. The difference is absolutely noticeable.
Although I did get better match after match I had to leave most weapons on the side since I wasn’t able to handle them due to the lack of aim assist which is why most weapons didn’t feel enjoyable. Though I really tried getting used to every weapon I ended up using AR, Sidekick and grenades 90% of the time.
I did win every match (even against Spartan bots) mostly with more than 10 kills and I also managed to achieve 3 stars in every weapon drill (except VK78 drill number 3) but the aim always felt janky and unsatisfying to me.
Many people have noticed the difference and I believe that the experience of bumpy and choppy aiming is going to reduce or even kill the fun in the long run. Especially when going against PC gamers.
I didn’t get to play but I would love little to no aim assist! I turn it off every chance I get. I live and die by my own skill. If you’re not as good at hitting consecutive shots then you will get paired with people of the same skill (not counting smurfs because of FTP).

If only you understood how Dead zonesactually work and why they are they in the first place

bruh no one has 300hz monitors. 99% of people are playing on a 144hz monitor. They may be getting a higher ouptu by their pc but most monitors are only getting 144hz. Some people may be on 240 but not many. Plus a lot of people play on lower tier pc builds bruh. And even then the difference between 120 and 144 isnt that big at all, like barely and wouldnt be able to tell the difference. This is a weak argument. Controller vs m&k is by far the better argument. And by the way the flight went m&k def has the advantage right now. Some guns on controller are straight unusable
