Aim Assist needs a buff! Not a huge one but still

I played with an xbox one controller (wired) on PC. I didn’t have an issue at all. I don’t think it needs to be changed.

> >
> > no it wasn’t i played on both and mnk felt far worse with large input delays and sluggish aiming. There was no benefit on the mnk in the last build, which u would have knew if u were an mnk player. Its not elitism either. If halo is ever to succeed, they need to balance to two as they are marketing to both platforms. And if u say the commando and sniper are useless what about the br. I would definitely lose to a pro halo player on controller on br battles. Aiming is not the only aspect to halo. If u think this is the case its so incorrect. Literally go look on a video about shroud talking about aim assist.
>
> I couldnt care less what Shroud and other professional gamers think. They are a minority. The average player isn’t trying to be that sweaty every time they play a game. Aiming is the primary aspect of ever FPS. And guess what youd lose to a pro player regardless so i dont see how that is any kind of argument

Lol so ur saying the mnk players should be disregarded. Just because you feel like your aim assist is reduced? Seems like a you problem for not having innate precision and relying on an algorithm that gives you the illusion of aim.

Thats because they trained their aim. You think you can get that put of the blue just because you use a mouse? That’s saying like everyone can be good on mnk. This point literally is not relevant at all. Why don’t you pick up a mouse and snipe then? You will miss most of your shots. I can guarantee you that as a former controller player.

Especially since you can use mnk on console now, there really is no excuse. The very real and very true fact of the matter is controller players don’t want to make the switch because they would be worse on mnk. Controller players that have thousands of hours on controller don’t want to learn a new input, they’d rather complain that their aim assist crutch isn’t strong enough for them to land shots. There really is a simple solution, but controller players would rather not face the facts.

Wireless keyboards and mice do not come with an Xbox. I would rather play on my TV with an Xbox, than move a computer to that room to play 1 game. An Xbox is also a lot cheaper than a PC that can run Infinite at the same settings. Until you can buy a keyboard and mouse for every Xbox player that wants one, I suggest taking a more realistic approach. You forget that the only reason FPS games exist on consoles in any significant capacity, is because aim assist exist.

Why don’t we take everything into account by disabling cross input matchmaking so nobody can be upset about any advantages, and increasing aim assist so average skill people on a controller can have a better time? Or are you going to keep falsely crying about how the massive skill disparity in Halo CE-5 doesn’t exist, despite aim assist and massive amounts of bullet magnetism in those titles? Aim assist on controllers is not the end all be all in Halo, I’m sorry this revelation had to come to you so late.

Stop making excuses for losing. I play on controller and have no issues molly whopping KBM in MCC. You sound like a PC player that complains about hackers cause he cant accept the fact that he lost.

Disable cross-input and keep the AA the same. Average skill players won’t know the wiser.

You’re right, AA on controllers is not the end all be all in Halo, so don’t change it from the flight, less work for 343i so they can direct their focus on things that actually matter.

It really is simple, if you have issues with the low AA on controllers, buy a M&K.

The average person on controller is having issues now, and that still won’t address their issue. You’re also ignoring the fact that consoles do not come with wireless keyboards and mice. That would technically make it an unfair advantage, and against the Xbox Live terms of use. Your approach to this misses the main points entirely.

then you will have more aim assist than usual. Those who run controller on console would have less aim assist. It is not a false issue either. It is a real issue that causes pc and console players to be outgunned by you. This is indicated by this video: (48) The PROBLEM with Controller Aim Assist in Halo MCC PC - YouTube

> 2533274925669097;11:
> I agree, the aim assist setting felt MINIMAL in this tech preview. There wasn’t even a setting for it like in MCC. TWO weapons in particular, the Pistol and Commando, were frustrating to use on controller.

I just figured it was intention to leave a high skill gap for even base weapons. I got accustomed to the side kick but the commando was difficult to use. I found that firing more semi auto helped but a little bit of assist with that weapon would be nice. Not a lot. Just a little

When I think back to Halo 2, 3 and 4 multiplayer on Xbox 360 I didn’t meet people that gave one multiple instant one shot kills thaaaat often.
Sure, if you go and check out youtube vids then that’s the only thing you’ll find.
But since MCC went crossplay I recognized that the number of people doing unbelievably crazy poop has increased severely.
Without looking into my stats I would say I used to win 2-3 out of 4 matches on average. Today, on MCC with crossplay I win like 1 out of 6… but that’s just my personal feeling… perhaps also because I’ve become too old.
But if you check out spartanfinder.com you’ll see that the percentage of people playing on PC is waaaay higher than on all Xbox consoles combined.
So, concerning MCC, console gamers are pretty rare compared to PC gamers. You won’t notice while playing since the game only shows the input device not the platform.
Personally, I doubt that a console gamer has the advantage over a M&K gamer. Comparing 2 equally skilled people (one on each platform) on a 1v1 I believe the M&K guy is always gonna be victorious. M&K is just overkill.
.
By the way I also remember playing Bioshock on Playstation 3 and also on Steam with a controller in 2011 or 2012. I noticed that my aiming was much better when playing with a controller on PC than with a controller on Playstation. I have absolutely no technical understanding at all but maybe it’s similar with MCC.
… I wanna play Bioshock again. 1960 with good old american music, whiskey, cigars. I’m not american and I don’t smoke and drink but I like the atmosphere…actually I hate smoke.

yeah i found that was the case too. I think the point of the gun is to be versatile as possible. But the only problem is only limited to the skill and imagination of using the tools that they are given. This is the same on mnk. I found that tap firing on mnk at mid to long ranges is good and spraying on close range.

I can guarantee that those people on pc are using controller as their input. Its because of the amplified aim assist with the uncapped frame rates. If it was on console, a good to high skilled mnk player would outgun the console player. It just takes less skill on controller pc. Mint blitz talked about this issue before and some other YouTubers.
