Some people just got a reality check and they’re blaming anything but their lack of aiming skill, they can’t accept the fact that they need to learn a NEW game and put time into it to actually be good at it.
If you look at pros they’re still doing incredibly good on controller and none of them cry about the aim assist because their aim is naturally insane, their only complaint is how weird the aim feels which is due to other factors at the moment, controller is still better than m&k because of how the halo gameplay is designed and the aim assist is still very prevalent, it’s just not a soft aim bot like the MCC was at high refresh rates yet some people would rather have that over a balanced gameplay experience for both m&k and controller.
Whenever I swap from m&k to controller it’s like the reticule tracks so easily to the enemy players and get consistent perfect medals, and I haven’t used a controller for FPS games in years.
From this test aim assist comes into effect only when you move the stick, so I’m slightly moving it as shown drifting the stick slowly to the left side.
I tested this at any range with the BR and sidekick and the AA seems really strong except at sniper range, works in training mode and matchmaking, although it was harder to test in matchmaking the AA is present in both even without RR.
It’s just mind boggling how people would rather have MCC 2.0 and marginalize the m&k community AGAIN for their selfish reason, we all know how that ended up for MCC. The aim assist is fine.
It’s not that the aim assist it too weak, it’s that it’s completely non existent for some players. It’s horribly frustrating watching people post clips on YouTube of themselves having red reticle and aim assist when I’ve never had that yet, playing this test flight. So the aiming isn’t necessarily bad—it’s just inconsistent.
troll post lol aim assist is nearly non existent. doesn’t feel like Halo. We don’t want Halo with Overwatch aiming, we want Halo. KBM community won’t be marginalized because they can plug in a -Yoinking!- controller. I play every game on PC with a mouse except Halo, because Halo was built for controller and will always be made for controller.

Well i was into a Debate about the AR being weak on PC MKB and every single PC MKB player i know find it to be a terrible weapon to use and its TTK terrible but some Controllers players were saying they found it OP or Good … then one of them sended me this video lol
Watch this video in 0.25 x speed and you will see how the Uber strong aim assist behave almost like an Aimbot , it literally stop and follow on target wich make the use of Fully auto weapon a easymode endevor … ------------------->>>>>>>>>>>>> AR only bots - YouTube <<<<<<<<-----------
Also all my friends who play on controllers have better average accuracy than me PER MATCH my overall stats have been compromise by the BTB vehicles and spam lol
thats said on average my controller friends were getting 48 to 60% accuracy in small maps while i was getting about 38 to 50% and i am better than most of them at pretty much any games … https://youtu.be/lLT-4wuXFq4?t=130

Its amasing to see how the Hardcore Aim assist AKA aimbot crowd always call anyones with a different point of view on the matter of aim assist a " Troll "
The aim assist is very existant in the Infinite tech test , its still 10% + to strong to create artificial parity with MKB accuracy stats proove it all … As a very skilled MKB players we had between 38 to 50% accuracy in small maps Bot match vs 48 to 60% accuracy for our controllers friends and they all admited the Aim assist was still to strong and made it to easy to track players with automatic weapons and the BR …
Here is a great exemple of you watch it on 0.25 speed you will see the reticle Stick on the target and do not let go when lateral movement is iniciated … on MKB yoiu will over compensate to the left then to the right and your TTk will rise off the charts … MKB players find the AR compleatly garbage and Controller players says its OP lol

yea bro. controller players are just cry babies tbh and they more than likely just suck at the game. just practice bro its not that hard. not surprising coming from controller/console players they are the loudest to complain. why do we even allow them to play FPS in the first place?

So someone must be a troll because he has a different opinion? If you think aim assist is non-existed you must be trolling yourself. Look at the stats, if controller didn’t have AA in infinite it wouldn’t be 20% more accurate than the average KMB accuracy.
I was about to call you out for your ignorant and unnecessarily aggressive reply but then I checked your profile and you’re banned for discriminatory posts, I’ll leave it at that.

Don’t bother with the guy, he currently has a forum ban and his MCC title says “controller gang” cannot be taken seriously in this type of discussion.

It’s crazy how many people are calling for a buff to Aim Assist. Like how much do you want?!
In the MCC, your FPS affected the strength of the aim assist? This tech demo didn’t run all that great for me, gpu 1070, and I felt like some of my shots weren’t being registered or something while a lot of others just seemed to absolutely lock on to me. I was averaging an accuracy anywhere from low 30’s to mid 40’s. It was blowing me away some people were getting 50% accuracy every game.
The other thing is I wish that I could see other people’s pings.

Some people say Aim assist doesn’t exist, sure because looking at accuracy stats a controller with no aim assist would be 20% more accurate on average than KBM, makes sense… people egos are so high they would rather defy basic logic than admit they’re not as good as they thought at aiming without MCC AA.
I like the current level of aim assist, but you have to be crazy to think a controller is better than M/K. It would take GTA5 levels of aim assist to level the playing ground.
The issues with controller on this beta have nothing to do with aim assist. The look acceleration is wonky and the deadzones make the look accel even worse. They’ve even said they’re aware of this. It causes inconsistent aim in all aspects (close, far, zoom, all of it). So of course the aim assist will feel off if the rest of aim code is off.

Actually there’s a large portion of pro’s complaining about aim assist in Infinite shrug
MCC is the most successful Halo game since Halo 3’s original launch. So I think saying you don’t want another MCC is a you problem, not a community problem.

Riahi you’re obviously delusional to even think that.

Oh no controller beating MnK on the games they were made for.
I guess the only solution is to completely nerf aim assist so that it’s nonexistent. Youre literally being a hypocrite now that the tables have turned and controller is terrible. MCC wasn’t made for mnk that’s why the sniper is op and the banshee can spin at the speed of light with that input.
You’re biased as hell if you don’t acknowledge that controller is absolute trash in this tech preview. Bottom line is that controller needs aim assist in order to feel smooth, even more so now that we have to compete with mnk players who cry when they lose to controller. Absolutely mind-boggling if you think controller will be able to match the skill of high tier mnk players.
