Aim assist should be set more akin to warzones. It feels bad using keyboard and mouse versus auto-aim snap. It is most assuredly not fair in any competitive modes either. This sort of snap would have been fine had this just been a console only game, but it’s not and it hurts those who prefer keyboard and mouse only play.

I have a great solution to this problem… 343 should let us TURN OFF the crossplay… that way xbox players would not be whining about pc players being more accurate… and PC players would stop saying Aim assist in controller is too powerful!!!

i play M+K as well. I have tried using a controller and yeah, holy crap is it strong and makes it super easy to track targets, but the trade off is you need to have godly crosshair placement and knowledge of the game. I primarily play as a keyboard player and I have respect for controller players regardless of AA. Sure, higher skill floor lower skill ceiling but at the end of the day-WHICHEVER input you put the most time on is the input that is the best for you. Aim assist can’t make you win if you make bad gameplay decisions, take bad fights, or have bad crosshair placement.

Aim assist is to power on PC, not on XBOX consoles.
Be sure to get that clear.

This is one of the funniest threads I’ve seen. I wish aim assist actually worked. There is absolutely nothing powerful about it when it does work. And if it was anything like warzone then M&KB players would never win a single game. Aim assist is just completely inconsistent on all systems. The problem with the game isn’t the aim assist but the aiming mechanics to begin with. Which is a problem in general including on controller.
This is also absolutely wrong. I play on both PC and Xbox Series X and aim assist is identical and inconsistent on both systems.
I play both as well and I can tell you that you’re wrong because the aim on PC is way power over the Xbox counterpart. I am not the only one saying things in these forums.

Then we’re having two completely different experiences. Because I have almost no aim assist on Xbox or PC vast majority of the time.
Can you do us a favour and go into Theater and review the match?
If the dude is literally SNAPPING the reticle onto you, it’s not AA, it’s an aim hack.
Having tried controller, I can say for certain the natural AA in Infinite is dogwater.
These threads seem pointless to me. Then comments making fun of the fact that “its always been on console”. Why make the experience worse and harder on one platform instead of improving PC? Infinite already has by far the least magnetism out of all the 343 games. And the least amount of AA. There are mouse and keyboard only ranked servers if you want to play that.
Anyone who mentions it’s a console experience first are grasping at straws.
Swift aim actually matters if we are talking about twitch shooters where people sight first shoot first to win.
Halo is one of the few shooters with long TTK so a MnK user isn’t at an inherently higher advantage. However in MCC, it’s been known that the AA and more importantly Bullet Mag in those games are insanely unfair on Controller.
However, on Infinite, the Bullet Mag is basically non existent and the AA is inconsistent. AA definitely needs some improvement.
I feel the other way around, mk players have many advantahes that I don’t wanna be forced to play with.
If we just got an option for input based matchmaking we wouldn’t need to argue about. I find it more fun if everyone are on equal ground.
I tried to play on controller and then went back to M&K because no FPS should be played on a controller… ever. The fact that your accuracy is determined by a developer is a joke.

No real point. My time in this game is already at a low point, especially with the multitude of other issues.
I hear ya. At this point, I don’t even both with multiplayer and just stick to playing the Campaign and Training modes.
