FOV + High FPS + Elite 2 Controller with custom configuration software = a form of “semi” legal aim bot on PC … man I really did not think I would see this day, the day that it just goes weird.
It is also stronger on XSX than on XB1, haven’t tested XB1X. It seems frame rate related. XB1 only gets 30fps while XSX gets 120 on high refresh rate displays like the one Ive been using. XB1X is capable of 60 so I imagine it feels somewhere in between.
It’s extremely noticeable when you actively use both. I’ve stopped playing on XB1 because it results in around a 10% drop in my accuracy stat and very noticeably poorer performance in matches.
Why would you play on the original Xbox anyway, when you have the series x?
It’s my roommate’s Series X and display. So I don’t always have access.
Totally. Its so challenging to aim on the old consoles.
Every person I’ve talked to from the HCS event said that AA is way stronger on the Xbox than on PC.
Reminder: That’s footage of an aimbot.
I really wish people would stop using aimbots, and claiming it’s aim assist.
I play on PC with a controller, aim assist behaves nothing like this at all, most of the time aim assist is barely perceptible when compared to MCC, these videos the OP has posted are fraudulent, perhaps they don’t know that, and it’s just their friend using an aim-bot without telling him, or maybe they’ve worked together to do this.
But the truth is that footage doesn’t showcase PC controller aim assist at all, I don’t know who you think you’re fooling, but you’ve likely just got your friend banned by showing the devs his aimbot.
Dude you dont Know

I Just read the Post for the First time now and iam playing on series X With Elite 2 120 FPS Incoming and Am sweating around AF.
Cant get a 20 kill streak. Impossible while PC Players With Controllers give Oneshot kill “IT feels Like This”
Is this for real? Higher FPS increases aim assist? So Xbox Series X (120 fps) also has an advantage over Xbox Series S (60 fps)?
Going to be interesting once I get my hands on an Xbox One X…
Having extreme difficulties getting a consistent aim, have to have a warm up of two hours before I get anywhere and by that time I either have to leave or got tired of all the other issues.
bruhhh. they need to increase the Xbox series S fps back to 120 like the beta. even then if thats the case the point he mentioned is how the aim assist works on pc though right. i dont think its becoz of fps. if thats the case 120 xbox and 120 pc should act the same right? im really confused how pc and xbox has this much difference on aim assist
AA does not feel any stronger on PC than on xbox (its pretty weak on both honestly) I played on pc with controller for the first month until i got my xbox series x, PC was getting 120-150fps. The extra fps does feel like it helps land shots tho, as i also played on og xbox one, and that was the worst of all them at 30 fps by far, i struggled to hit anything. PC also has an issue where all AA drops completely off a majority of the time.
The biggest issue is the servers and hit detection. As i said AA is weak in infinite, so all the MNK warriors crying AA is OP are wrong. Halo is designed to play well on controller. 0 recoil on most guns, Slower movement and strafe, and long TTK all hide controllers weaknesses and play well with lower sensitivies and smooth analog stick movements. Halo does not take advantage of mnk typical strenghts in recoil control, faster strafe, flick shots, and faster movement the way higher mobility low ttk games do. BUT the hit detection being as spotty as it feels means magnetism plays a big deal in landing shots. And magnetism is not aim assist exclusive as mnk usually get it as well. It feels as tho frames per sec play a part in how well magnetism is working. And magnetism being so low on mnk is making mnk feel worse.
Halo Support told me they released a patch in relation to the aim assist on PC. I received this message on the 27.th of december so I feel like it might have been an automated message to get rid of open cases.
Anyway, I can’t test the AA on PC because my laptop can’t run infinite. I’d appreciate it if you could test again to see how the AA feels on PC after the supposed update.
Again, I also want to mention there is a huge problem with aim-acceleration and lack of linear aim-response curve that makes aiming sluggish on all platforms and I think this is causing problems that people blame on weak aim assist. Hopefully this gets fixed before the playerbase bleeds to death.
im not sure about regular controllers but the elite controller has curve setting in xbox accessories app that may help.
but no i havent tried it on my pc in a while, i want my halo on xbox so soon as i got series x i switched in hopes of console only lobbies lol.
The AA alone isn’t what’s causing controller to seem OP. It’s the AA plus the stronger bullet magnetism which is making controller OP. With keyboard and mouse, we can only predict where the enemy is going, strafing side to side is the best example. The best keyboard and mouse player against the causal/normal controller player will lose this strafing battle (BR vs BR) because the controller player gets the aim assist along with the stronger bullet magnetism.
I made a video showing how much stronger the bullet magnetism is with controller…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ-RwtL2xm8
The bullet magnetism is also carried at range with a controller. I noticed this while playing Tactical Slayer with both inputs. I also plan on doing a video to show that as well.
No, I don’t seem to have input settings on my pleb controller. Anyway, I’d be anxious to mess with the input sensitivity curve because I feel that “stretching” the input between the stick and the game would result in lower “DPI” (compare to a mouse). of the stick, and contribute to yet another error-factor.
Amen to that brother. Fingers crossed for crossing out crossplay.
Did you do this cross platform or just on one platform with different inputs? (Just curious).
Not too sure I understand your question. Are you talking about with my testing? I’ve tested each input, controller and keyboard and mouse on both my Xbox Series X and PC. My test were also done on LAN, not the servers. Didn’t want any desync or online networking to play a part of it.
Ok that answers my question. Thank you.
I’m curious whether the AA (and bullet magnetism) is stronger on PC+controller then Xbox+controller at this time being.
