Cutting it off and letting players choose when to turn it on is doing it right.
Nerfing aim assist isn’t.

I don’t want to nerf aim assist. I just want M&K to have the same amount of bullet magnetism that controller gets.
So you want the game to continue to feed you kills, got it.
Feed me kills? Do you realize how much work I put in to get around this game’s aiming? No you wouldn’t. Why would know a single thing about working when you yourself are advocating for a handicap?
What’s that say about your skill since you want to get all high and mighty?
All you’ve done is talk out your -Yoink!- and make assumptions about me. You’re not the professional esports player you think you are. I don’t know who gave you the idea that nerfing aim assist will suddenly make you a decent player but it’s completely false.
Okay I have to ask you. Why?
That would really make things worse for mouse. Imagine moving your mouse and having it slow down on a target. I don’t think it’s going to give you the plesant experience you think it will.
You’re moving your hand to the right and it slows down unexpected on a target. Wouldn’t that feel weird?
Aim assist is lower than it was in Halo 5 tho.
Perhaps we should just allow players to TURN OFF CROSS PLAY like what LITERALLY EVERY OTHER SHOOTER GAME ALLOWS WHEN THEY PUT CROSSPLAY IN THEIR GAME
As a 20 year Halo vet that plays on controller how about no. It already feels like the lowest aim assist in the franchise and sometimes it feels like it’s gone entirely, so if I struggle with it how is a newer player going to feel if it’s decreased even further? I want it increased on some weapons because it’s not even viable to use some weapons over the AR.
Yup. Apparently we need separate forums as well because these people will never stop demanding special treatment, or making threads about aim assist when it’s literally the lowest it’s ever been.
Has anyone noticed that the aim-assist feels like
« normal » Halo levels in the Campaign? I play on Series X btw.
Just goes to show we would’ve had smooth aiming mechanics if they didn’t have to balance it for crossplay with MnK.
It’s strong on PC. It’s non-existent on console.
Yup PC gamers ruin everything they touch
I disagree. I turned it back on and it does exist, but only in the sense that it makes your aim-spin-speed slighly slow down when nearing a hitbox when within mid-range combat and close-range combat. Though it doesn’t exist for long-range sniper combat.
Plug in a controller on console then PC. The difference is night and day.
Then make it so M&K is only available on PC.
And give both PC and Console players the ability to turn off cross-play so we don’t have to deal with each other in online matches outside of customs.
I have. even made a video about it…

I always get aim assist at the wrong times.
Did M&K skill levels drop over recent years, whats with all the whining?
Aim assist is incredibly weak in Infinite. There is no CoD ‘snap to’.
There’s no way you should be having trouble beating controller players. Git gud.
If you’re not using a WiiMote, you’re doing it wrong.
I wouldn’t be so sure. The Power Glove is a pretty strong contender for the best way to play.
Controller aim assist on console is certainly stronger, yes.
Controller aim assist on PC on the other hand is non-existant.
