Yeah. I even think they allow you to make a new account if you have a previous one.
You say that like their main goal is to abuse aim assist when itâs been there with them for 20 years. Thatâs my problem. Your argument is based on an assumption of malice.
Shouldnât they get a say in how their aiming feels if they choose to play strictly on their own platform?
See I think the issue is that youâre arguing with a casual player (HyperLethal). Casual players donât understand the intricacies of competitive play and, therefore, canât articulate the differences between Aim Assist afforded to controllers and M&K.
That can be YOUR problem, but this is the GAMES problem. As I said before, this game was launched day one on console and PC, with crossplay and crossplay eSports.
Now hold the -Yoink- up. Just because Iâm a casual doesnât mean I donât understand what heâs saying.
And competitive play isnât even that complicated.
âAnd competitive play isnât even that complicated.â
It is really complicated in the state Halo is in now.
And thatâs exactly why crossplay needs to be a choice. Crossplay was made for console vs console play, not controller vs MnK play.
Competitively, itâs not viable.
You see if this happened (i am not arguing that the aim assist should not be tweaked on controller) I would then feel that the MnK player gains the advantage because they have much faster movement/rotation.
If youâre the competitive wiz, why havenât you caught on to the glaring issue crossplay presents to even starts games like Halo?
Youâd think someone like me wouldnât have caught on that but I did.
All it took was a video from Shyway and it clicked for me.
"Now hold the -Yoink- up. Just because Iâm a casual doesnât mean I donât understand what heâs saying.

You need to go off the facts that you have now. How many perfect BRâs can you land currently? Multiple a game I assume, right? Iâm above average in solo rank and Iâm lucky to hit one perfect a night, and Iâm not lying if you look at my game history I havenât been playing much the past few days. Even so, perfect BRâs are rare on MnK.
Those perfects are being assisted by a great deal, so even if it gets toned down by lets say 50%, youâll still be able to land more perfects than a mouse and keyboard player. If youâre getting 2 or 4 perfects per game, youâll be down to 1 to 2 perfects per game. Nothing changed with MnK, perfects are still rare to get.
No seriously. You guys make it sound way harder than it needs to.
After 3 months of playing, I pretty much have the basics down. I know some jumps. I know about timing slides.
You donât realize how badly I stressed about being competitive. It was all through Halo 5 and a little bit of Halo Infinite. All it takes is practice and dedication.
Nah, iâm out. This -Yoink!- is too funny.
Just interested though, you see there is an advantage to MnK in spinning about the screen?
How is that an advantage? At what part in the game would that be an advantage over controller being able to land far more shots while being off target? Just like the proâs said, movement doesnât matter in Halo. Itâs a high TTK game and the shot accuracy is what matters and that accuracy favors controller.
To be clear, I said if the aim assistance was at a comparable level then itâs an advantage to MnK
I donât see where you said that, but ok? Thatâs not what Iâm saying, I never once said make controller one for one to MnK. I said controller needs to be toned down. I gave an example of even if toned down by 50% that controller will still be more accurate, which is a start.
This just highlights how difficult this is going to be.
The input methods are different and itâs going to be seriously hard to make it entirely fair, probably impossible
I agree about making it fairer, but I could potentially argue to slow mouse movement speed closer to controller.
Regardless I can see why some would prefer input based matchmaking in ranked. 4v4.
I donât see why you feel slowing a mouse down would make anything more even. I mean I play on 2.0 sens with 450dpi, which is pretty slow. And again, looking fast does not win fights in Halo.
This isnât about âtake away from me, they need to take away from youâ. MnK has no in-game advantage whatsoever. Itâs all raw input.
Ok, so youâre saying that the movement a mouse affords offers zero advantage over a controller?
The input method is not solely used for fights, but for finding fights. Perhaps even immediately behind me. If I can locate someone faster, before they see me or even move my cross hair faster. I perceive that as an advantage. I say perceive as this is just my opinion.
