AIM ASSIST information requested

i noticed during a Matchmaking Firefight Doubles Game the AIM Assist activating with my Sniper or DMR. Can anyone help me with more information concerning AIM Assist? Specifically i’d like help on these following questions:

  1. Can we turn it on or off?
  2. How can we actually use AIM Assist if possible during Multiplayer Matchmaking Slayer Games to earn more kills?
  3. Once AIM Assist activates do we just pull the trigger and not try to de-scope or try to reposition our Spartan?
  4. How do we improve the Game Assist function or activate it more often.

You can’t turn it off or on and it is there in Mathmaking because i don’t know if you’ve noticed but it’s incredibly hard to shoot team mates and if it was off this is what it would be like to shoot an enemy
