Inktoced the aim assist jts way lower. But im actually honestly enjoying it! Id rather a slight biff to some it the rrr for a few weapons more than anything
I’d rather not have aim assist increased. While it does feel odd to have such low aim assist, IT IS there. And for the first time in a long time I feel the Mouse and Keyboard controls are about on-par with Controller (FOR ME PERSONALLY).
I’m no pro but I’m decent at Halo, and I’m fine with getting used to the new changes. Aim assist is really annoying when playing cross-platform shooters. Those people who randomly perfectly laser your head down are absolutely wild on controller, and you have to play COMPLETELY differently to break their aim assist, and playing that way enables mouse and keyboarders to kill you easier.
that being said some tweaks will still need to come.
Yeah, it’s definitely noticable that aim assist is gone, or very low. Which imo is actually okay. The original Halo games had the same setup with very little to no aim assist. It’s just a little bit of a learning curve to get used to. I rarely notice it now after a few days of play. Although I do expect that it’ll get added with launch if 343i wants to appeal to a mass amount console shooter fans out there.
I feel a sense of accomplishment on every kill. However i will say, the assist might be a little TOO low in comparison to older titles like 2 and 3. 4 and 5 had without a doubt way too much assist.

The original Halo games had very strong aim assist, its part of what them feel so great to play. I really hope Infinite does likewise on release.
My aim was all over the place. I could barely aquire a target. I just changed my dead zones from 12 or 10 all the way down to 1. Just doing that has helped tremendously it feels a lot different. More like Halo 5ish

Is the aim assist on the OG releases different from that of MCC? Because it’s been a while since I played the OG releases multiplayer. However on MCC it feels like on Halo CE, 2, and 3 I have to be pretty spot on with headshots. While Halo Reach and 4 feel more forgiving in that aspect. Also I typically play on PC with a controller, so I am not sure if that factor’s into it at all
If you’re getting the top of the leaderboards nearly every game then congrats, you had skill. Old halo just brought crap players up in level and didn’t really reward good players. This new AA rewards good players. As it should be.
Aim assist does not need to be increased. I think it’s necessary to have it the way it is. It allows for fairer gameplay between the two inputs. I understand when the game launches you can just toggle if you want to play against specific inputs; however, I believe that is not what Microsoft and 343i are aiming for with their open approach towards cross platform ecosystem.
The pistol seems to have little aim assist, whereas the BR has too much. I think they should increase it slightly for the pistol and reduce it slightly for the BR.

Let’s hope it’s the right call. Currently the game feels really janky to play on controller. Prefer the aiming on older Halo games that are upwards of ten years old which is… Concerning. To say the least.
Aim assist should remain low or non existent, at least on pc. 343 finally understood that and toned aim assist down, so now m/k users won’t feel that they’re playing against people with aimbot. Now controller users will need real skill to consider themselves good.
That being said, what I think they need to polish is mouse aiming. I don’t know how it felt for other people, but it just don’t feels right for me, and I’m not the only one who feels it.

> Honestly, I think it could potentially give PC playersba very unfair advantage. But again, unsure. Might just be not uses to it.
Doses’t this game have controller based matchmaking so you should no be against a mnk or you could just disable cross play?
