Time for someone to clear me up.
now the following happened.
yesterday when i finally got that flight running with my r9 380 with modded 21.6.1 drivers and ryzen 5 1600x, i encountered the following
something totally got changed with the aim assist and controller.
in drill the aim assist is totally fine, i tweaked my controller settings to the following.

Move: Center Deadzone - 8 - Look: Center Deadzone - 8 - Move: Max Input Threshold - 0 - Look: Max Input Threshold - 10 - Move: Axial Deadzone: 8 - Look: Axial Deadzone - 0 - Look Acceleration: 5 - Look Sensitivity (Horizontal) - 6.5 - Look Sensitivity (Vertical) - 6.5working fine in drills but the moment you start a match vs bot or multiplayer aim assist ceases to exist at all. there is not aim assist with a controller on pc, which makes aiming a lottery.
I dont know if its just me, but it seems like yesterday something has been changed with aim aisst or they turned it off due to that -Yoink!- with aim assist and being afk aim assist still tracking and stuff?
played all halo games from CE to H5 ( h5 only abit). controller on pc aim is way worth that h5 pro aim controversy. maybe its just my settings but im having a rather strange feeling aim assist has been turned off completly in matches. hitting most of my stuff in drills but in multiplayer or bot games the crosshair not sticking to a player or bot in the slightest. it fully ignores the target.
any controller suggestions or help would be much appreciated

adjusted the sens of each vertical and horizontal and now i found pretty big issue here.
went into drills and took 3 stars and i tried to see if any aim assist exists at all
no tracking it doenst even register the enemy and follow or change direction of crosshair at all.
seems aim assist is fully turned off.

you dont realise the difference between the accuracy of a mouse and the input of a thumbstick controller. dont ya?
you can be precise as -Yoink- when using a mouse and keyboard, thats a level a controller with thumbsticks can never achieve.
im not talking about full call of duty aimbot mode, but a slight adjustment is needed.
and you do realise what a technical preview is for? exactly for something like that, not just to brag about mimimi aimbot aimbot, good news.
There is a bug on PC that will disable aim assist on controller when launching the game. I am basically gambling whether I still have aim assist or not when loading into a match. The difference in my performance when I have aim assist as to when I do not is tremendous. 343 needs to make this one of their top priorities in their next update for the game. It is frustrating to see that this bug is not in their list of known issues for multiplayer.
