Aim accel and deadzone sliders coming in December!

We did it! Thank you so much 343, I can’t wait to come back and play Halo 5 again. Hopefully these sliders will allow us to make the aiming mechanics feel like EVERY Halo before this one. Seriously, thank you.

If this is true i will make it feel like the beta or like you said past halo games.

Also glad to know they realized not everybody wants to play with bad controls designed for pro players by pro players.

Its very good news. In my opinion, the new aiming mechanics are the worst aiming mechanics I have seen in an FPS since CS:GO (which were even worse). Hopefully these new options will help. I really hope that the 10 sensitivity will receive a major boost, as it is painfully slow imo.

There was no mention however with regards to the precision aiming zone. Once the reticle gets near a target, there is a sensitivity drop that diminishes all user input, making the reticle feel heavy, sluggish, and unresponsive to user input. Not all input needs to be diminished, subtle-to-normal aiming corrections should be left alone. Hopefully 343 will look into how the precision aiming zone functions, and move away from a system that diminishes all player input.
