I’ve been noticing that when any AI teammates should be following me (e.g. Halo CE, Halo, Marine survivors or Halo 2, Sacred Icon, the grunts and jackals you find that are alive) they generally do not follow me. They just stand there. I can swap weapons with them and injure them and whatnot. If I have a vehicle they might get it in, or they might ignore me completely.
And sometimes they just disappear completely. No reason why, they just cease to exist. E.g. At the start of The Oracle, you have a few AI teammates. A couple elites and a couple grunts. I walked forwards into the next room and they weren’t following, so I turned back and went back into the room you start in with them, One of the elites had disappeared, and also a grunt. Restarting the level and just running into the room where the heretic leader hologram appears made them run into there and continue the level though. However, none of them then followed me onto the elevator after defeating the flood in that room, when at least one elite and grunt normally would.
Is there a fix for any of this? Has anyone else had these issues? They’re really starting to bug me. I’ve already tried hard resets multiple times. Re-installs are out of the question. (I have a monthly cap of 100GB. 15GB for the update is a very large chunk of it).
I don’t see why we should download 15GB plus updates for it.
it should have been obvious when this game was tested the AI’s weren’t performing like in H2
they should recall this game or send a update on disk free of charge.
we have all paid good money for this and have been shipped a unfinished and in parts unplayable product…it crashes everytime we play Delta Halo???
I have had similars things but with warthogs disappearing\appearing randomly as i never cared for ai teammates since most die too quickly.
Yea I have the same problem as well. Hopefully it gets fixed and I am sure it will.
halo cea worked fine for me but its definitely there in h2a, havent gotten to 3 and 4 yet and hope the ai still work in those
I tried the achievement for no marines dying on inifinty level and they just disappear and so i can never get the achievement
Just got a suitable broadband to download the update, and it fixed all problems with the campaign , I’ve heard that odst remake will be free in may for those who have been online before 19th December and suffered matchmaking problems, but since I wasn’t then looks like 343 are screwing me over again and I get not compensation for buying a broken campaign game on release dateo
