AI in Warzone need This, Like now

The AI need a lot more numbers and a slightly higher difficulty along with bombing runs like in Battlefront

But a really good idea is that the AI should be able to take back bases and score their own points, just imagine the Covenant winning a warzone match! Also put other characters into game like Warden put in Jul and Arby as an ally

I agree. The AI Have so much potential. I’m not sure about air support, but what I think we really need is simply additional AI dynamics. Yeah boss fights have certainly changed the BTB style dynamics, but imagine having bosses raiding the central base and taking it for themselves. I don’t really see the need for a 3rd faction that can win, but stalling a core advance would be amazing, or even if they simply moved across the battlefield according to the situation as a whole unit. Warden Eternal could be a good thing if it means that your enemies will be distracted try not to get WIPED while you recover bases but won’t lose your butt if you don’t take him out yourself.

And we all want more Arby.

AI behaviors… are those difficult to code? Because I don’t see them adding anything more than maybe some additional bosses or Spawn timers.

I imagine – I don’t KNOW – that changing the behavior of AI from “patrol this small area” to “advance on armories and attack [non-faction] entities on sight” is probably more complicated than what I just wrote. There is “pathing” (is this the term? finding a direct route to a target location, avoiding pits and obstacles, etc?), targeting, prioritization, self-preservation…

It sounds awesome, but I’m struggling to think of an instance in the campaign where I saw that kind of behavior outside of scripted events.

Imagine a Red team Arby fighting a Blue Team Arby, also needs Blue and Osiris teams in Warzone. Master Chief BOSS!

AI difficulties are too hard as it is. It’s like they’re on super-mythic difficulty. What they need to do is simply increase their numbers, that’s all. The idea of having them take back bases is good, though.

Yeah for sure, an elite gets 3 or 4 shots on you and you are dead! They also take 2-3 sword swings to kill!! That is crazy higher difficulty then expected… and yet when a team swarms them they die ever so effortlessly. Example, Commander Lochagos, I have seen him killed in literally 3 seconds from first contact… Its like, what the hell? They have 4 or 5 reqs already?? Meaning how are they already using fuel rods?? the round practically just started…

Actually, if you know the trick, Lochagos is super easy with splinter grenades and a couple of suppressors. The real trick is getting TO him with those weapons.

The suppressor rounds home in on promethean weak points and splinter grenades are just death in general.

Agree

You must not understand how OP the ai is in warzone already. Spartans are practically useless compared to the AI in warzone.

I mean a slight buff or maybe smarter decision making instead for the AI

Yea, it’s like when I see people in Escape from Arc already using the carbine two minuets in… What’s up with that?

Yes, it would be like an actual war.

Yeah, it would be like an actual war zone.

I wouldn’t like to see more AI, to be honest. I like Warzone the way it is.

I think more frequent AI spawning would be pretty cool.
I rather enjoy hunting down the AI for points more so than actual Spartan kills. But that’s just me. =P

First post btw. \m/

bosses definitely need to be spawned more randomly…and I do like the taking of the bases by AI…adds new elements, sounds fun.

I would definitely like a slightly smarter AI for bosses. It feels like cutting corners that they significantly buffed shields, health, and damage, as well as make boss vehicles unboardable as the qualification of “difficult A.I. Bosses” in Warzone. A slight buff and a smarter AI is good enough. Realistically speaking, the only AI coding they can add that’s useless is the Campaign friendly AI.

I want to see a wave of over 100 grunts coming at me.

Do they steal them from the elites that spawn right as the match begins? I know most have storm rifles but I’ve seen a few with carbines (might have been later ones who knows). I don’t mean the ones in the armories or whatever, I mean the ones that spawn in the tunnels as “bosses”.
