In every store page for Halo Infinite, they say that Forge is back and more powerful than ever. Halo 5’s forge was ridiculously powerful. It was so powerful that you had everything from the campaign, every stone, bug and tree was in forge. They also had dead AI bodies. So, the way I see it, the only way for it to be anymore powerful would mean it would have actual AI.
Most of the time people argue that this would involve scripting and so on, but I should remind you that Halo 5 had plenty of scripting ability. Not to mention, the amount of increased playtime and interest in a “Halo Battle Simulator” would be more than worth the time it takes to implement it. Any ways, enough of my opinion. DEBATE!!!
There shouldn’t be any debate honestly, this would be a welcomed feature and I can see no con in it. The AI should vary to actual units that can be assigned a team and role specific to them in relation to the players. These AI should be given tasks if desired and could be scripted in whatever ways are desired, like guarding something, a position, hunting down something, patrolling, or even a multitude of tasks that are set beforehand or chosen to be randomly generated involving items or other NPCs. The immersion this would give players who want to create intense objective game types or recreations of events in lore or just options for people to just have fun would be wonderful. Also, you could just straight up make your own firefight maps or campaign levels basically. Another thing, but scripting functional turrets and cameras that could be used in game would just blow me away. Defend yourself and some marines from a Banished or even a Covenant onslaught from the past would be really rad. Or y’know, reenact the Great Schism and the dark horrors of the flood simultaneously.

I would like AI in Forge and stuff but I really hope they manage to slim down the menu from Halo 5s.
I found it incredibly confusing and unwieldy to use. Reach and 4 have a perfectly fine Forge menu that I would appreciate revisiting. Especially because the basic forge controls were easy and not altering because of 16 different conditions going on whilst you were checking your phone for half a second.
Lol I just want the preset buildings, decorations, and such from Halo Reach/4/2A to return. Anyway, AI in forge would be beyond awesome to me and would draw more people to the forge mode. Really really hoping for AI in forge. Imagine, recreating past missions to replay. Sounds so cool.
This is something everyone has wanted for a long time. If modders can do it, so can 343. If they add Forgeable AI, it will make me want to play more Forge
