AI for Halo 4

Should there be an infinity disc created for the unsc infinity that comes with integrated AI in an infinity forge world?
-Let me know what you think?

Could you explain a little better?

Ok cool so…what it would look like is a white square play space with barriers set up… kinda like the barriers in DBZ that are invisible; However the barrier is coated in the hexagon wallpaper like the one in master chiefs helmet. The white bound box will be used to upload 2d images that will be used for the environment in infinity forge world. How do ya like me now? Also you would need a separate disc to hold the AI…then what you would need are terrain packs. Then as many objects, loadouts, and customizations as you can think of. Now forge!

So you’d like a blank map where the surface(s) can be textured with any uploaded image? I don’t see how the AI will fit into this.

Sorry i’m still a bit confused

It will…Think of it this way. You load an AI into infinity forge then what happens the AI should respond to the gametype. They will re spawn where you lay the re spawn point, now depending on the gametype will determine whether or not the AI will attack or defend you. You can have a troop of friendly or non friendly AI. The terrain packs should repel any of the Ai’s bad behavior and the barriers too.

Oh yea and they’re going to buy the legendary edition frank o’connor.

You make no sense. Are you talking about bots?

AI will be to hard to work with in forge, as the map layout is always different

WHAT MAP LAYOUT? READ THE SECOND POST!?!?!

I’m confused as well. What does “AI” stand for in relation to your post?

well well well…Artificial Intelligence. And I think the Idea is starting to make sense. After all I am an idealist.

Oh yea and drop ins that’s the easy part!

First, please stop multi posting and just edit your previous post to add your further thoughts.

Then…I think what I, and the others, are confused about is what the AI has to do with your forge idea? Because that’s really what it seems like you’re proposing - a different kind of forge.

Im unsure of what your attempting to say, your bringing up the fact that DBZ games have had practice modes with AI bots that react to you a certain way depending on what option you choose for them, whether to take damage only or actually defend themselves. But your idea is quite forceful, and im not sure if your saying we should have a completely new disc for this option alone(wtf…) or what, but no I would not be interested in your idea currently as it simply isnt very thoughtout. I feel if I need to practice that badly that I will have Spartan Ops to engage into, and im not sure what benefit your idea would bring into forge, or what your even attempting to say about forge in general. I think you just need to rewrite your first post, in a more detailed manner.

They pulled it off rather well in Timesplitters/Unreal Tournament. If they can do it, so can 343.

First of all the AI are simulated based on the respawn points and they defend themselves based on where you have placed them. Yes I am proposing a new idea for halo forge infinity. This is why the ai are involved. The ai should follow a set of instructions for the gametype and challenge the player to defend themselves against an incoming attack from the ai. The map is edited in monitor mode then when the player changes back to the player a loading screen is shown and there you have your ai! Oh and a set of d-pad instructions could be implemented for the troop of ai you can lead into battle.
“Move out!” – “Hold!”

AI will mostly likely never be something we, as player will be able to control because there is way to much that goes into an AI that we would not be able to control with tools that are simple for the average player to use.

Checkpoints are already a part of Halo 4!

Let’s talk about the AI. Is it that it does not commit to the game type or that it does not support the gametype.
