Agent Locke's AI

Heres my original post on 343 website: http://www.343industries.org/forum/topic/37515-agent-lockes-ai/

Ok so I have been thinking about this for a while and I think Agent Locke should have an A.I. and I know who it should be! It should be Iona(The one assigned to Black Team) ! I loved her as a character in the comic. And I think they could work great as a team. But I would like 343 should give her more attitude and make her a comedian. Also I think they should let us go into her story as how she got back into service after the events of blood line. Please give feedback on what you think and get 343 to see this.

I like the idea of Locke having 2 AIs and maybe in the story Iona and Roland may argue during a gameplay fight. And they can be arguing on which is a better method of taking out a fleet of rebel covenant! But I think for the main part of the game Locke’s main AI should be Iona, she has so much potential!

Hm, it would make sense for Osiris to be carrying their own AI, but I doubt it would be Iona.

So is it confirmed that Roland is Lockes AI? I hope not.
Im all in to be introduced to a new AI though.
It would only make sense to give Osiris one.

If they don’t have their own A I they probably have communication to one through their suit. Like Roland from Spartan ops, but less like Roland I hope.

Yeah Roland is kinda a lame AI, bring in someone like Beowolf from the Fall of Reach book or something.

I think you need to read that book. lol

I think its pretty clear this late in production/promotion that Osiris does not have its own AI.

Also, doesn’t Iona specifically have a book about her being decommissioned?

Technically, he’s Spartan Locke now. there is a difference

Who? I just read Contact Harvest, Fall of Reach, First Strike, and the Forerunner Saga in the last 2 weeks. Finished First Strike today.

No…just no… Lol…why does spartan Locke sound so cheesy… They should of kept it agent locke

Do the Spartan IVs even have their own AI or was Master Chief the only one to get it because he was escorting Cortana to safety?

Well, between the retconned to hell and back Fall of Reach and the apparently canon CE, I’d say that Chief is the only one who had an AI at all times (which is not to say he was the only one capable of having an AI).

I just read Fall of Reach and First Strike in the last two days, and John was the only one we were told had one, but the others were planned to receive one. But then the fire nation attacked.

Also the AI has to be compatible with the Spartan they are paired to, and Cortana made sure she was completely compatible to chief since she chose him.

Yeah, Naomi 010 didn’t have an AI, but she was able to interface with the AI Black Box for one mission.

Judging from the novels, the Spartans can do their job just fine without an AI, but having an AI gives them an edge. However creating an AI powerful enough to handle a whole ship for every spartan would be too expensive.

Well he was an ONI Agent in Halo Nightfall, but now he’s a Spartan. He has more experience, and has come to understand what it means to be a Spartan.
Think of it as someone going through boot camp to enlist in the military. Only after you’ve been through that will you have learned what it means to be what you are now.
Ok, maybe it’s not that extreme, but i think it’s a similar way of looking at it.

EDIT: I’m kinda quoting Frank O’Connor (if my memory serves me right) when i said he understands what it means to be a Spartan. Sadly, I forgot where i heard him say it. I believe it’s from the ViDoc

Locke does have an AI, her name is Siri.

He works for Microsoft not Apple, he has Cortana. But not the same Cortana we love, another Cortana

I believe there’s a short story, Halo: Saint’s Testimony, in which she files a lawsuit to try and prevent her decommissioning.

I hear it’s a good book.

Spartan Locke Gets an AI but the AI’s name is Exuberant and it is a female, im thinking it Fero because in hunt for the truth Maya was recovered and blackbox says she is a good candidate for the AI program in season 2 episode 6
