Alright guys, I’m sure you don’t give a darn, but do you think certain spartan abilities, such as ground pounding will only be available to Locke, or do you think Chief will have the same abilities. For the sake of gameplay, I think it would be dope to experience different abilities with each character. On another note, do you think Locke’s HUD will be all fancy schmancy like Chiefs was in Halo 4? I mean, will it also have it’s own layout, shape, and outline? I actually really liked how you could see some of the green outline while in Chiefs helmet, so I’d like Lockes gen 2 hunter armor to really make me feel like I’m in a helmet.
Master Chief’s armor is outdated, he doesn’t have thrusters built in. I think Chief’s visor will be somewhat like Halo 4, with Locke’s being the Halo 5 multiplayer new one.
It’d be neat if they had different HUDs/abilities to distinguish between the old and new generations of Spartans.
Chief might have the same abilities. I remember at the end of Halo 4 they started taking off his armor, its possible they were taking that armor and upgrading it to have the Spartan Abilities we’ve seen in the beta.
I’m guessing different colored HUDs but they’ll both have the same core abilities as the multiplayer Spartans. There might be a small side ability like the arbiter’s AC in H2 but I don’t see a bigger difference than that. Halo’s always tried to keep gameplay consistent between player characters

You clearly don’t remember the end cutscene for Shutdown then where Chief uses a built-in thrusterpack. The Mark IV model Cortana based her upgrades on for Chief’s Mark VI also sported a built-in thrusterpack as evident by Halo 4’s prologue.
He will most likely have them just to get them played the same.

mjolnir always had thrusters. It’s in the lore and don’t you remember the Halo 4 trailer?

The thing is: if they have thrusters, why didn’t spartans use the spartan abilities we see in H5 before?
They had a far less advanced version, just to move in space. And the designs for Master Chief in the first games did not show a thruster pack in his armor

Maybe not the spartan abilities were present but thruster was always present in the lore. When it comes to gameplay that’s a totally different story. Also the mojlnir armour helps spartans sprint faster via a hydraulic system or something like that (cant quite remember), hence why it was an armour ability in some of the games and now the reason why shields don’t recharge when sprint. I dont believe ground pound, etc were in the books but definitely thruster was and sprint were.
