Spartans are super soldiers, augmented with all kinds of biochemical upgrades.
These “features” should’ve been implemented from the first game!
However, due to time constraints, technical reasons and other various factors, it wasn’t.
Please stop complaining, if you really don’t like it, play the anniversary playlists when the full game comes out, or better yet, go back and play the originals… when they get fixed;)
I’ve played the series since I was 9 (I’m now 21) and loved them, the new game mechanic’s are fresh and are long overdue IMO.
I have confidence in 343’s vision, and congratulate them on producing a Beta that looks AND plays golden.
343, don’t change a thing.
What if there won’t be an anniversary version? Halo 5 might not even be remotely playable without the new abilities because the maps are built around them? And going back to MCC just because the games we adored exist there doesn’t fix a thing. People want a new Halo, a Halo which is /Halo/. Halo is a hipster shooter. It’s not fast, you don’t get pats on the back because you’re bad at the game, you need to think to become better. Halo is going away from that because it’s casual ppl that don’t love Halo as much as those who try to build the game with 343i by doing all these polls, threads proving sprint, clamber and ADS being bad for the franchise etc.
Halo 5 is meant to make you feel like a super soilder, I don’t feel like one. I feel like a regular person with paper armor on me. I want to feel heavy because I wear a suit made out of titanium that holds me from sprinting and I feel strong because I can walk fast in it and jump high while holding additional weight which is my massive dual barrel rocket launcher.
I don’t feel strong when I can run faster than The Flash, feels like I have paper armor. I don’t feel like a spartan, I feel like I’m a marine.
Anyway.
Some new abilities they’ve implemented are good (Thruster), the rest are not Halo. Halo is NOT a modern shooter and should NEVER be that. These new things make it a modern shooter which it shouldn’t become.
