After seeing the Splitgate Surge it made me realise

Halo definitely has a lot of room for improvement, by no means am I saying Infinite is perfect. We are all here on the forums because we enjoy the franchise.

Who cares? Splitgate has forge. Soon they’ll have a Yoink load of halo remakes probably lol. I’ll be interested to see what people do

Ken muted me because he couldn’t handle that the Ranked system wasn’t working properly and when 343 announced they were fixing it he quickly realized he was wrong and muted me out of being butthurt.

Ive played it, and its not bad, but it doesnt hold a candle to Halo Infinite. Once they fix the issues, the two games arent in the same stratosphere.

Dont get me wrong, I am not happy with what is going on with Halo Infinite and the lack of modes, maps, content, and defects, but Splitgate is not as good a game IMHO.

I tried it and thought the base gameplay of infinite is better even with all it’s faults, so pass. Other stuff though like progression and store, yea it’s better, but that doesn’t matter if base gameplay is worse.

I think the point is that an Indy company pulled off most of the components correctly that 343,as an established company with proper finances, should have knocked out of the park…with one hand…backwards…blindfolded.

Moreso is their inability to correct those flaws quickly is also telling about the state of 343 as a company. We shouldn’t have to wait until May to get content that should’ve been there since the beta, as splitgate has.

If splitgate is improved to be the halo 2 or 3 of modern gaming, why would you play infinite?

Ah yes, not a fan of the way he speaks to people.

I mute anyone who I find rude.

The gameplay is literally Halo with a little less health. How is that abysmal?

Alot of people dont like the portals and that is a core element of the game. The maps are weak. The shooting and movement dont feel as solid as a AAA shooter. The weapons and modes are all ripped from halo and cod.

I played it for like a week a few months before Halo Infinite came out but it had nothing to hook me. It seems fun in concept but is somehow kind of bland and generic. It kind of has the same problem as Rogue Company. Like why play it when you can play similar games that are more solid and have a more distinct gameplay?

Just started playing it today, I really like the game but I don’t have a Halo feeling while playing personnally.
I feel like it’s more of a Quake/Portal mix than a Halo/Portal mix like I saw some people say.
Especially how maps are constructed and the weapons available in game, it feels really Quake like.
But we do have Halo game modes, cinema and forge available in this game.
So it’s more of a Quake/Halo/Portal mix kinda game but it’s not a bad point, the mix works for me and others but it won’t please everyone.

But at the end, it’s still not something that can replace Halo Infinite for me. i’m still playing Halo with maxed out BP and all because it’s just the gameplay and the visual that appeals to me.
Just wish the game was in better state since launch instead of where we are right now.

lol surge. Splitgate sponsored most of these videos you’re seeing on Splitgate. Like the Sean W video? Sponsored. They’re all sponsored to give you the feeling it’s big and hype. Also people have been playing that game for 3 years. People been playing this game for 3 months. Guess no one remembers the release. Splitgate was a legit flop. It averages a pathetic number of players. If you look at steam charts it “surged” about 400 people. Wow. Big surge here.

Not sure what to tell you but the gameplay isn’t halo.

Its pretty halo-ish…

At the top level it’s portal peeking. It also has no vehicles.
