Ok, the game is still in beta and it’s made by an indie studio
See I can see people trying to crap on Splitgate and defend 343 but everyone needs to remember 1047 Games is a tiny little Indie dev studio that has a fraction of the people working on the game as 343 has for Halo. Yet they are producing a game that has basic features i’d expect from any AAA shooter. It’s laughable isn’t it. 343 has Microsoft backing yet they produced a F2P game that is barely a game at this point.
Splitgate also plays like a dream on m&k. If only 343 could do the same.
Haven’t played it for a bit but the game needs grenades. Not just of the portal blocking variety.
I was watching the act man’s video about split gate and I’ll probably try it out today
You should. It’s amazingly fun.
I’m enjoying it more than Halo
Fun game, hope you like it. Haven’t played since Infinite came out. I prefer Infinite personally but I’m sure lots of people will refer Splitgate.
Stadium is a great map.
“343 you have the chance to make Infinite good.” This is oddly direct.
I’m not happy with the state of Infinite at all. I haven’t even played the multiplayer yet! I was busy during the flights, and the “released” game is so bare bones to me, I can’t justify downloading it at this stage.
That said, whenever I have a problem with a video game or any other entertainment media, I think of the movie, Chef (which admittedly, I haven’t even seen.
I just know the gist of it.) As players, we don’t know everything that goes into the making of a game behind the scenes. Who is responsible for its shortcomings? I don’t know. But blaming “343i” as a single entity doesn’t seem right to me. There are a whole lot of different individuals working in and outside 343 Industries who impacted Infinite’s development. I suppose what I’m saying is, don’t attack the company as a whole; criticize the game as much as it deserves, because it does deserve much criticism, and the people responsible will get the message.
Installed it last night, will be playing tonight.
In the end Splitgate was built on UE4. That’s a great and stable engine. Meanwhile lots of issues we see in Infinite (inflexible UI, server networking, etc.) are rooted in the engine. So comparing the work that went into it isn’t really comparable. Maybe 343i should have used UE instead of building their own after all (it seems they had internal discussions to that effect during development).
Can’t say much about the other things as I never played Splitgate. But it’s always nice to see an indy studio do well so kudos to them for making the right choices along the way when it came to playlists, monetization, etc.
Seeing as you’re plat 5 in halo, I can only imagine you’re low tier in splitgate as well.
When you start to get to top tier gameplay the game is a mess and has many flaws. Everything you stated about weapon balance/feel, map design, and spawns is completely wrong … they’re atrocious.
The game was super fun for the first week I played it, don’t get me wrong I thought that game was the future. It was until I hit diamond 5 pushing into masters that I realized the honeymoon phase was ending and the problems/annoyance were more noticeable.
If the game was so great and amazing it would have a much bigger player base, this is just not the case. You can say it’s because of lack of servers or whatever you want, but that is a poor excuse as this was a long time ago and they could of easily fixed the problem, but they didn’t
The games core gameplay is bad, it has cool features good reward progression system that infinite could definitely look at for some inspiration. But please, do not go on saying I have low IQ when you’re trying to compare splitgate to Infinite when the numbers clearly show that splitgate is trash in terms of playerbase when compared to Infinite. You just sound silly.
Hahaha you’re talking smack about my Rank in Halo, yet I’ve only played about a dozen ranked games.
Good job.
I’m using what information I have and based on your stats with your given games, you’re a casual player. So my assumption is that you’re also a lower tier player in splitgate, I guess that’s funny to you.
You’re saying that the “player base for SplitGate is trash compared to Infinite”
You’re literally trying to compare the player base of a new Indie game, compared to that of a AAA franchise that has been around for 20 years. It’s pretty obvious that a new game with a smaller budget for marketing will have a lower playerbase.
So yeah, I stand by my opinion that you’re “low IQ” given the ignorance of such a comparison.
Easily one of the dumbest statements I’ve ever read.
The game has been out for 3 years, the only reason splitgate got any attention was due to everyone anticipating halo and everyone got their fix and dipped cause there was nothing to stay for. Just because it’s an indie company doesn’t mean anything when I’m comparing player base.
Now you’re backpedaling because there’s no backing to your logic. It’s simple, If the game was good it would have a bigger following, which it doesn’t. My original statement was to the guy comparing splitgate to infinite, and I stated that he was delusional thinking that splitgate is anywhere near as good as infinite and the numbers show.
What’s low IQ is that you can’t comprehend common sense, I’m sorry you’re a little slow, try re reading before you post.
Hahaha. You’re assuming I’m a “casual” because I’m only a Platinum ranked in Infinite, when I clearly told you I’ve only played about a dozen games of Ranked so far.
You’re the pinnacle of Intelligence.
First you assume that SplitGate has a “trash” playerbase because it’s not anywhere near Infinite’s despite being a new Indie game.
Then you assume that I must be a “Casual” because I’m only ranked Platinum, even though I’ve played maybe a dozen ranked games.
Do you have any opitions that aren’t based on half-baked assumptions ?
And the fact that you needed to “check my Rank” and use that a basis for your argument is cringe and shows your opinion can stand on it’s own two legs.
Get lost. You sound like the typical Beta Male that shotguns beer with your Doritos encrusted Finger tips while you ask your mom to bake you some pop tarts
I guess a game that’s 3 years old is considered a new game, you’re really enlightening me, thanks!
You’re not helping your argument, you’re just making excuses.
I’m comparing the 2 games, and their playerbase and saying infinite is superior and with the provided data, it clearly is.
You’re trying to say I can’t compare the 2 because one is a smaller company. Wrong.
The game had a huge influx of players and failed to retain even 5% of them over the coarse of 4 months. People didn’t stop playing because of “lack of servers” people stopped playing because the honeymoon phase ended and the core gameplay was bad.
Stop making excuses.
Ohhh so me explaining that SplitGate having a smaller budget and how comparing playerbase size is an uneven comparison is somehow making “excuses”.
I’m actually explaining SIMPLE CONCEPTS
Clearly you don’t understand. Let me break it down for ya.
There are two types of chips.
one of them gets 500k purchases daily.
the other one gets 2k.
which chip is better?
damn bro, gonna have to flag you because apparently I lack intelligence yet you’re the one who cant form a basic sentence without spewing insults.
Clearly a nerve was struck. I’ll end my replies here, because this is going no where.
