After seeing the Splitgate Surge it made me realise

It’s just better in everyway. Literally everything about it. The progression system, the fun game modes, the non serious approach, the in game store, the ranking in ranked. Just everything. This is made by a company that doesn’t have the same backing as 343i yet they have produced something that I would consider tenfold the product that Infinite currently is.

343 you have the chance to make Infinite good. But you need to listen to the community and learn from other F2P games or take the game out of F2P and make it a premium game.

Lot of youtubers, streamers picking up on it combined with the devs reaching out to these players and being very clear with their communication to the community.

Its surge died within 2 weeks cause they couldnt handle popularity.

People are playing it again, since the new update improved the servers, and added a lot of other improvements and new content. For an indie game that they made in 6 months, and worked on for a year, it does seem a lot more entertaining than Infinite. I’m not really big on the whole Halo X Fortnite X Portal vibe, but from a development perspective, they did more than 343 did with multiplayer, challenges, forge, and customization, in 1/6 of the time and no budget. It seems like they pay attention to the backlash other games are getting, and apply that feedback to Splitgate, which is the smart thing to do, I suppose. Take parallel feedback before you get it, and learn from other’s mistakes.

This is exactly why I am so disappointed in how 343 has handled this game. They aren’t the first to do any of this yet appear to have made no effort to avoid some of the biggest pitfalls of previous games.

343 refuses to learn from the mistakes of others, and the mistakes of their own past. They seem to purposely make the most unpopular decisions, with no QA testing, or public feedback, before doing or releasing anything

They took out so much of the Halo core formula that people know and love, only to replace it with all the things people hate about modern games

Fortnite did not invent silliness in games.

I’m talking about the graphics, costumes, cosmetics, menu design, colors, and so on. Running around in an anime girl suit with a baseball bat is pretty Fortnite, and looks weird clashing with Haloesque armor and weapons

I won’t really have any interest in it unless they drop a couple game types without portals tbh. I’m happy it’s there so Halo can have some competition in the Arena shooter space though. Should end up leading to good things for both games

Clearly you’re delusional, there is no “surge”. Splitgate only has one thing going for them, and that’s their progression/reward system. The gameplay is abysmal and boring.

There’s a reason the player base isn’t even 5% of Infinites.

Bro, this ain’t no Doctor Phil drama, we’re just talking about games.

Delusional. :joy::joy::joy:

It uses the same model as Halo Infinite :joy:

Splitgate was extremely fun when it first launched. Then people figured out you can shoot through portal’s and just camp. All movement around the map immediately stopped and the gameplay died. So I have to disagree when you say is better in every way.

Movement is the main feature of Splitgate.

Portal camping seems to cause issues for so many players but it is easily countered.

Truthfully I haven’t played since September. But back then there was zero movement despite it being the main design feature. Everyone just threw up a portal and shot people through it. That was it. Extremely boring gameplay. Maybe they’ve made some changes in recent months to prevent this. I don’t know.

No changes but it was a very different experience playing in the Diamond/Masters lobbies. Extremely quick movement, portal blocking, grenades were super important. Portals used to move, escape and push. Very minimal sitting and looking through one.

Oh okay. There was no ranked when I last played. Game was still in beta and had limited playlists.

It did have the ranked playlists in beta/season 0 as well, but they did change them up a bit for season 1. I haven’t played Splitgate since my son was born and Halo Infinite was released.

I get such limited time gaming now it almost all goes into Halo.

Lmao. You know what’s funny ?

The least important thing they have going is the progression system…

The Gameplay, weapon balance, spawns, weapon feel, map design, gameplay variety, playlist options, forge, and portals are a what makes it interesting.

I seriously can’t stand low IQ posts like yours that don’t even understand basic game design.
