After seeing the multiplayer gameplay and some of the campaign gameplay i no longer feel as hyped for halo 4 as i first did when it was announced and everyone was talking about it. However theres probably many reasons for this, not actually playing it myself,not seeing enough gameplay, information has been lacked so far stuff like this.
I think if a video to show the customisation of your spartan model was to be released then that might respark the feeling of wanting it. Anyone else feel similar about it?
nah. totally excited for it. somethings in the game id rather not have there. But they are here to stay. so in all honstly as long as they do the best to balance it all out ill be happy. hell reach was the slowest thing ever. and i still liked playing it. just not as much as past halos
its always good to have low expectations, that way you wont be disappointed. though I’m not saying that halo 4 will be a disappointment or anything, I’m just saying that hype tends to be a bad thing is all.

I was hoping they went for something other than a sci-fi FPS y’know?

Cmon now, I have my concerns about H4 but it will not be like CoD at all. It has great potential if 343 gets the balancing right, and from what I have heard despite the gimmick increase most battles in H4 will be about gun skill which is great to hear.
As for Destiny, we literally know nothing about it outside of its it reportedly being a Sci-Fi FPS MMO with windmills lol. Could be really good, or it could end up being another milked franchise by Activison that sacrafices gameplay quality for casual appeal. I just hope it has great gameplay first, gimmicky -Yoink- second.

LOL @ sacrificing quality for casual appeal. See Halo 3, ODST, and Reach.
People keep having to come up with more and more excuses to say it’s not CoD in space. It really is though. Instant respawn, killstreaks, progressive “rank” system, “Spartan Ops”.
As for destiny, sure it’s a gamble, but with Marathon and…ahem…Halo, Bungie has a great track record with new IPs. It’s when the sequels start coming out that problems arise.

True dat, look at the range of Sci-fi Games compared to the range of military shooter games. You got from Tribes to Half-life on the Sci-fi side, while military shooters has CoD to…MoH lol. It makes sense because realistic shooters are based on RL, and well Sci-fi shooters are based on fiction that dont have to be based on one aspect. There is so much more creative room to work with on the Sci-fi side.

if you didn’t like halo 3 then you obviously will never be satisfied.
as for halo 3:ODST well… it was pretty much the exact same thing as halo 3 MM wise so I don’t quite understand how that game would even be put on that list.
what I would recommend for someone like you is to not play sequels, I mean its pretty obvious that regardless of how good they make you’ll still feel disappointed. with a new IP that obviously won’t happen as much so I think thats what you should be doing instead.
the biggest reason why CoD games suck is because they never change, halo might not be changing for the better but its definitely changing, whether or not you’re willing to change with it is completely up to you.
I welcomed AA’s in Halo Reach and wasn’t opposed to trying something different. Worst video game purchase ever. I didn’t like the idea in the first place but in the back of my mind I was telling myself…it’s gonna be okay… this may be Bungie’s final stroke of genius… they wouldn’t change Halo if it wasn’t for the better. I said of all these things, deluding myself because of how much I love Halo. Look at these forums and you will find the same delusion applies to many posters when it comes to Halo 4. Because of Reach’s Epic disappointment I have no expectations after they decided to bring back the one thing they shouldn’t have (AA’s). I hope 343 Industries proves me wrong but from the gameplay i’ve seen they’re only proving me right.
