After reading about so many disconnects..

I’m amazed that 343i hasn’t addressed or even shown recognition of this yet. Why?

EDIT: After some help from the comments and a few videos, I’ve wired connection and changed my dynamic IP address to a static one, as well as port forwarding my Xbox. Here are the links I found especially helpful, hope this helps.

Port forwarding

Static IP

Because the majority are claiming disconnect when they are just quitting.

That’s ridiculous. Have you read the support forums? It’s filled with server complaints. I even decided to write this after getting disconnected for how ever many times today. It’s not my wifi either.

If you are using WiFi on your Xbox one it very well could be your end. It’s way better to use a wired connection. I think I have disconnected from maybe three games total… if that.

I’ve never had an issue before, and all other games work fine. People with wired connections are having just as many issues.

sigh I guess I’ll try a wired connection before I continue my whining.

I think it’s on 343’s end. There have been a lot of forum posts about latency issues and disconnect over just the past few days.

I agree. Luckily I haven’t gotten banned (yet) for getting disconnected, so I haven’t had the pleasure of making an “UNBAM MEH NAOW!!11!1!11!!1” thread.

I haven’t been playing a lot lately but haven’t had any issues.

Yeah, it’s gotten worse lately. I hardwired my Xbox after resetting everything and I’ve already been disconnected. I don’t think it’s my wifi.

I thought it was just me. I got disconnected like five times in a row from extremely laggy matches…then it stopped for awhile…then it started happening again.

It has been horrible since the last large update. Game has been semi stable for me up until then. The red attention, there was an issue with the servers, please try again. I am an IT professional with home run wiring and no latency issues so don’t give me any, ‘on my end’ crap. This is really annoying.

LOL that’s hilarious. Definitely your end. Seriously though, since the update I won’t even get an error message, I just get booted to the main menu which tells me I’m offline for a few seconds.

Five disconnects in a row (1 Warzone, 4 Arena); REQ system is down; getting the ‘Red Screen’ error. Definitely something on the server side. Must be really frustrating for those who got it as a Christmas gift.

I’d really like to see a response from the forum team. I’m wired with a latency of 60 and packet loss of 0% with Cox Internet, and still I get disconnected.

You need to look in the support section of the forums. 343i is aware of the issue and have been trying to address these connection issues. Some problems could be on the users end, my connection works greet most of the time and I use Wifi.

I’ve looked there already. I’m in metro Arizona running on one Xbox with a wired connection, those threads don’t apply to me.

Everything works but halo which reports server issues been down all night tell me another one

I understand those threads might not apply to you, wasn’t trying to shoehorn you into one of those problems either. Just trying to give constructive feedback. There are many reason one could be experiencing connection issue. Most likely due to the dedicated servers but thought those threads showed that 343i is aware of some issue and is trying to adress them.

Might want to make sure your NAT type is open. I have my Xbox setup with a static IP and port forwarding, using Wifi and hardly experience any issues on my end. I feel bad for all the players having issue and just wish for them to be able to enjoy the game.

It’s all good. My nat is open, packet loss is at 0% and latency is at a steady 59. I thought that with dedicated servers and all, things like this wouldn’t be a problem.

Switched to wifi it is working. Going static. Open NAT is a no brainier. The Box reports no issues with my connection. So I ask you why does hard line fail and wireless work?
