yes. you only noticed it now? you also lose your selected loadout, you have to reselect it manually or it’ll use the class you have in the first slot.
it’s a known bug.
it also happened in Reach.
Has to me a couple of times, but it usually fixes itself after shooting a couple of rounds and reloading. Sometimes it just automatically fixes itself regardless.
more annoying is when you don’t quite have 15 kills yet in a match where a perfection is possible… only have 2 so far because of it. 1 with 17 sniper kills, the other a tank match.
Remember how in Reach you could lose your armor ability with a host migration? Same thing (sprint is equipment class just like armor abilities).
