After December 8th official launch question

So I have been going through the forums and I have noticed a trend.

When there is criticism of the game whether it is game play mechanics or customization issues, the usual go to response is “It’s a beta”.

December 8th isn’t that far away. So what will be the new excuse after the official launch?

Microsoft and 343 have obviously dropped the ball with infinite and even if there is some kind of event on the 8th for the official launch, it seems like it won’t be enough to get infinite to the hype or player count it should have been at.

Rockets should lock on to the vehicles, there needs to be the Spartan laser, etc. Once a team has a wasp they control the map because there’s literally no way to take down an air vehicle besides the sniper which if the other team controls as well might as well just put your controller down till the game is over

Not really sure what this has to do with the OP’s topic, but there are multiple counters to the Wasp:

S7 Sniper Rifle (destroy after multiple hits or single headshots to pilot)
Hydra (very effective)
Shock Rifle (two hits for EMP)
Disruptor Pistol (several hits will EMP)
Grappling hook
Concentrated team fire
Another Wasp
Scorpion
Banshee
Does Spanker lock on? Not sure

Hydro lays waste to the Wasp.

The new excuse will be more like just telling people to be patient and then they’ll point to any change 343 has made and call it a step in the right direction and evidence of 343’s good will.

They haven’t dropped the ball on anything. The game is great it just needs a few changes and updates to fix core issues.

I dare you to name one game that’s never had some sort of issue? Currently as we speak large titles like Battlefield are going through the same issue. CoD went though the same issues with warzone, Cyberpunk 2077 is just now becoming playable on consoles. The larger games get the more issues will need to be addressed at launch. That’s just a fact of game design.

I’m terms if this being a beta all that means is they would rather find issues early before millions of people hop on the game worldwide on day one. It’s a smart move from a development standpoint.

On December 8th we won’t get any major changes. But we should get an update that fixes large issues like stability, broken aim assist, hit registration, and spawns. Larger changes to progression and customization will come later down the road as these require major overhaul.

Put that on your calendar and see if you’re right. Not even the devs have confirmed anything that’s happening on the 8th, why make baseless assumptions?

Because 99.9% of games come out with day one patches. These issues also shouldn’t be a difficult fix either.

These are just assumptions. I’d like to see them as well, but until they confirm anything, I’m not gonna hold my breath.

Wasps are made of paper. They’re super easy to take down.

Listed above (Spanker does not lock in Infinite), but you also have Shock Grenades, Both Sticky Grenades, Skewer will 1 shot it, Repulsor can hit the rockets back or just launch yourself into the air to skyjack it, Cindershot homing works about as good as Wasp and Banshee homing bombs, and if all the above somehow isn’t available to you, vehicles have a weak point, like the core behind a Wraith, the treads of a Scorpion, and the Wasp is the propeller blades iirc. Shoot those out of it, and it’s toast.

This is awful copium. Other games having bad launches isn’t acceptable either. Other IPs don’t deserve a pass and neither does halo.

There will not suddenly be millions more people playing on “launch day”. That is a massive delusional statement.

This game launched 2 weeks ago. It’s not a beta and shame on 343 for advertising it as such.

The state of games being released unfinished and unpolished should not be normalized. It’s not a fact of game design. It’s developers and publishers knowing that their customers are suckers who will buy anything with their favorite franchise name on the box. Hence they take advantage to full effect.

Gamers are possibly the dumbest consumers in the world. Defending 343 or any other studio in this scenario is inexcusable. They aren’t your friends, and they frequently abuse the twisted parasocial relationship fans have with them.

The rocket does not lock, but I agree the Wasp isn’t actually that OP now that people realize you can kill it by shooting it with regular weapons.

I think they’ll add the Spartan Laser (along with other classic weapons) eventually; hopefully soon.

You forgot the one-shot skewer

I can’t believe I forgot about the Skewer

Riiiight that’s why every btb game the person in the wasp gets 40+ kills? … Yeah paper suuuure

Sounds like a personal problem. If I see a Wasp, taking it down immediately becomes my first priority. Don’t blame the Wasp because your whole team is being worthless, focusing on weekly challenges instead of objectives. I’ve had friends in my party focusing fire on a single Wasp across the map. Your team is just bad, as honestly to be expected with randoms.

There is a SPNKR variant that locks on

Only when the other team are potatoes.

Also, why is this thread now about the wasp lol
