Voridus - he is a flexible leader that excels at the late-game and while he nowhere near excels at it. His weakness comes from the fact that his units are far more fragile comparative to other banished leaders since he lacks Engineers shielding ability, as well as his Engineers and early game Grenadiers being more expensive until infusion tech I is purchased. To make up for this fact he has great zoning capability with his goo. So where does he need aid to grow to be competitive leader?
Brute Grenadiers - A lot of Voridus problems stem from the fact that his goo has been balanced but he hasn’t been offered anything in return, one of the greatest effects this has had on Voridus currently is that Brute Grenadiers are nowhere near worth the loss of the unit that they replace. (The suicide grunt) This makes him struggle as he is forced to play the early game far latter and have to invest into far more different tech to play at the same level, since his goo is no longer able to crowd control as efficiently. What do I propose to fix this? Well I actually think that they need to be targeted in three ways.
Their damage should be increased at all tech levels (It’s pretty laughable even at their tech 3 upgrade) but not to a crazy extent. They need to be useful but not dominate. - <strong><strong><strong>Instead their “y” ability should have increased utility, currently it’s not worth sucking up the goo at all. Once sucked goo is sucked up it should give a even higher damage output as well as lasting for about 5s longer.'</strong></strong></strong> - The interaction between Cataclysm and Brute Grenadiers tier 3 upgrade has to be fixed!!!
InfusionVortex - Right now goo vortex is bad. It does far lower damage compared to Decimus vortex but to make up for that, it was supposed to dispense damaging infusion for zoning and locking in opponents, but since goo no longer does damage the value of this leader power has plummeted.
Increase the base damage of this ability so that it is noticeable and it is no longer relent on the goo to do damage at point 1.
Infusion Gel - Although this might be in contested and a split opinion topic but I believe that his base goo was nerfed too hard and it’s should be buffed by a very tiny amount to help him against crowds.
A 3% buff to goo damage.
With just a few changes you’d be able to see a huge change in the viability of Voridus, reducing the absolute brokenness of his late-game but also finding a way to help him transition past the early game and hopefully will have a domino effect on his mid-game strength. I consider buffing his hero but after extensive use, it is in my opinion that his Voridus hero is quite powerful in the state that it currently is.
I would suggest giving the Grens a speed buff as well, as currently they’re unspeakably slow. Even if they had enough DPS to take fights, they’d still just get kited to death.

What units should Grenadiers be good against? Should they just be good vs Core Infantry and Rush units only?
It would be beneficial to give them their own weapon type and tune it to the damage vs certain units that it should be doing.
How often do you build the leader at T1 because he still does not seem useful at early stages of the game. I think he just needs Pull with a longer cooldown than Decimus or his Brute Chieftain.

Grenadiers need to be better against infantry, not the best anti-infantry but they need to be buffed in that regard. They should become competent units once they suck up goo though.
His tier 1 leader is basically a mandatory staple for me. You need support but you can lock people down with your leader powers and his goo slam is good at doing damage early in the game, even a little later in.
If they make snipers you have to support with choppers. He’s fine in my opinion.

Agreed, sucking up the goo is actually less effective than just leaving it…
I think they should change the Y ability from sucking up goo, to actually spreading more goo with each brute shot!
That would be far more effective!
