…my disk is slowly cracking around the inner ring. I guess I just need to hope it makes it another two weeks.
Anyone else played their disk to death?

lol i have the same problem but its saved on my hdd
Yeah, I did the same thing. I’ve never worn out a disk like this before. And I played more H3 than any other game.
My Halo 3 disc wore out maybe a year into that game, and I had to get a new one.
Reach is fine so far, though.

I believe the Halo:Reach disk has been notorious for cracking unfortunately. Hopefully it does last a bit longer for you.
i’ve been really lucky and haven’t had issues with games cracking.
now my Elite’s disc driving failing…well, that’s a different story.

Same here. I just did a search and discovered the same thing about the disks. And here I thought it was my epic lackluster skills and playtime that caused the stress fatigue in the plastic.
It’s saved to my hard-drive, but I still need the disc. Hopefully I don’t run into that problem!

I will sacrifice a chicken in hopes of protecting your Elite’s disc drive. My original Xbox 360 RRod-ed a year ago, but the replacement is doing fine. I found cleaning the dust out of the fan area and the other air vents have helped keep it running well. Keeping the cat of it it presents an entirely different challenge.
