After nearly 700 games of halo 4 multiplayer I still do not know a single callout on any maps. This is because I never get teammates that can plug in their headsets. The 40 or so people that actually were capable of plugging in their mic went through the entire game without saying a word. It is even worse when I get matched with partial teams who hide in their party chats. Only total idiots join a 4v4 gametype in a 3man party. I find this more infuriating then the horrible maps, slow-paced campy as -Yoink- gameplay, unbalanced weapons, and total noob friendliness horse -Yoink- that 343 caked the game in.
In older halos, even that total pile of -Yoink- reach, i would at least get some communicative teammates. people who understood how important communicating was for fun, fast paced, victorious gameplay. What happened?
Why don’t you put in your mic? any actual good reasons out there?

> tl;dr put in your mother -Yoink!- ing mic!!!
I use call outs when i can. i have a set of turtle beaches that have been given to me and they come in handy because i only play when my daughter is asleep. i dont usually talk because i cant be loud and cant wake her up. it sucks but then if i wake her ill feel the wrath of my old lady lol.
I played 1500+ games, I think, of Halo 3, would have been more but was unable to play for a year, and I knew no callouts of the map.
Then I played more Reach, I think, and knew no callouts on the maps.
At the end of Reach I started to take more interest in the competitivness than I previously have, mind you I play to win, but I started to think more tactiaclly and stuff, increase my abilities in winning.
So now I’ve started looking at respawn times for vehicles and started using callouts with my friends. They weren’t that competitive though and didn’t think oof any callouts so I had to make up them and teach the locations as we went along the match.
The result on adrift was:
-Red coridor (the red coridor)
-Blue coridor (the blue coridor)
-Red Base (the base that’s next to the red coridor)
-Blue base (the base that’s next to the blue coridor)
-Lava coridor (the coridor you see a lava pipe in from outside the coridor)
-non-lava coridor (the one without lava)
-red balcony (the balcony next to red coridor)
-blue balcony (the balcony next to the blue coridor)
-middle (middle room of the map)
Then we had:
-Upper red base
-Uppder blue base
and some extra stuff in there to point out where exactly they were.
I miss the days of Halo 3 where everyone put their mics in as the Highest Skill 0/50 system meant you wouldn’t progress without a good team communicative game .
Anyone who likes team work , call outs , and banter … Feel free to add me : DisasterBeef117
I used to use mine during Reach when people would actually talk or listen. In fact, I remember a game where NONE of my teammates had a mic and I was coordinating them, and we won. Even got a message of thanks after the game from a teammate.
After that, any time I was out of an XBL party with my friends was random screaming, trolls, 12 year olds who whine when you don’t give them the power weapon they were eventually heading for, or people complaining that you’re terrible and they’re better.
I don’t talk anymore because of the adaption I’ve taken towards people. Everyone’s a jerk unless proven otherwise. Most times it’s not worth slogging through the crap for the diamonds.
Though yea, I agree that it’s hard to find out proper call-outs for places still.
