First of all this is the first Halo game I have bought and I feel as though that makes me no less entitled to my opinion but I feel it’s fair I lay it out there to begin with…
I love Halo 5! I am a Gears of War/GTA 5 type bloke who is married with a few kiddies and has a full time job…meaning I play around 3 hours a night.
Tonight I got angry for the first time Where is my YOINKING DMR!!! It’s absolute crap that you can feed me over 20 types of Warthogs that are shadows of the previous one you have given me… I understand it’s not meant to fall into everyone’s hands but wouldn’t you say in a game with very few loadout weapons isn’t it more fair everyone is on the same page. super/power weapons are what are pack pulled celebrations.
I adore saving for packs but opening them now for another crap vehicle ( warthog type 20 ) and a piece of armour that gives no benefit at all is becoming annoying. Added to that they are bringing out other unlockables meaning those without the DMR. Our odds decrease again of getting it.
My other point… I play Warzone and Swat… Love both modes but please some tell me what the point of rank is? I am current Gold 1 so why do I play vs Platinum and Diamonds that 95% of the time body bag me and those players below them.
Is it merely a size of your gamer -Yoink!- thing… I can tell others I am Onyx or Diamond. I thought as someone new to this franchise it would mean elite vs elite ( test your metal you awesome players ) not oh I ended up with a 0.5 oh I was playing against 3 diamonds… Seems a little pointless.
That been said I love this game and will keep playing I just feel loadout weapons should be given and rank should mean more than I personal pat on the back…
I am SR51 and not a single DMR in sight. Frankly, nothing good that I commonly use. I have the base sniper certification, but have not seen one in a week.

Y’know, I had a similar experience. Not a single DMR until I was SR 64 and opened a Premium Pack and got one immediately. Right after that, EVERY Silver pack I opened had a DMR until I got ever variant (except the Bayonet one…that apparently is not actually a Rare REQ). It may not rain often, but when it does, it pours!
I got my DMR around SR 36-37, and pretty sure it was a silver pack too. Considering the base DMR is rare, and the later ones are legendary, its gonna be while before you get more to use.
I got my DMR at rank 36 or 37 in a silver pack, it is just plain luck on wither you get it or not but you’ll get it soon hopefully, just got to have hope.

And you still have time to play 3 hours a night??? I’m married without kids and I have a full time job and I only have time to play about 3 hours a week. lol
The thing people dont understand is that you should ONLY buy gold packs. I keep hearing people say or tell others to just buy silver buy silver but silver. Yet I have like 3 DMRS and im only like SR41 and I ONLY open gold packs. I got my first DMR in my 20s, By opening but gold packs Im getting tons of ultra-rare and legendary stuff now.
