Dear 343 industries
I have been an Halo fan since 2003, after playing it at neighbour house. Since then I completely switched to the Xbox ecosystem leaving PlayStation for good. Back then we use to play LAN 8vs8, it was difficult to find other players but with the word of mouth, we grew our halo community in Ivory Coast. With the arrival of the Xbox 360 the community increased from 50 friends that was playing actively Halo in my hood from more than 200 that i knew of in Abidjan. Halo 3, reach was fun but the language barrier prevented us from being active in the forums. It is not the case anymore, i have even participated in the Halo 5 world championship qualifier in South Africa but we didn’t get a second shot for the following years. I do understand that the company might still think the internet connection aren’t good enough, it was the case from 2007 to 2011. When i was playing halo 3 and reach on a 512 Kbps connection. But since then everything has changed most of us are now hooked to a 10 Mbps or 20 Mbps fiber connection, in some African country like: Ivory coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Egypt, South Africa those are the one that i know of with fiber cause i do have gamer friend from ivory coast living there now. Many people are playing video games in Africa which represent a huge market of at least 150 millions gamer. My point is if we get a shot and people are aware in advance, like 6 months prior they can organise them self on Social media and create teams to participate. We love halo and like competition all we ask for is a slot, as we can compete with the world now with our fiber connection. My record talk for it self and many people created their Xbox live account under France because Ivory Coast wasn’t there while they are actually playing from Ivory Coast, it needs to change everyone world wide can pay with a debit card or cheque card online.
Sincerely Lastwil
