AFKer's ruining Spartan ops.

40-50% games that i play have at least 1 afker.

Well at least i keep myself occupied by splaterring them with vehicles…

This is starting to be really annoying 343. Hope you come up with a solution for this

And Roger. A few times while on the Valhalla SO mission with the Mantis’, some AH would just find a niche in the rocks and sit there. I’d forget the Storm and just concentrate of blowing his -Yoink- up.

How are they ruining it? I can run through most spartan ops missions in like 6 minutes by myself. So I dont see how 1 afker really effects you.

i don’t understand why they even do it… you barely get any XP when you idle in SO… it doesn’t seem worth the trouble

actually every that has at least 13 kills gets the exact same amount of exp.

Take it from the guy who plays single player: You dont need them.

I don’t think the problem is that when somebody AFKs, the other players can’t finish the mission due to it being too difficult. It’s that the AFKer is just sitting there and leeching off everyone else for free xp that they didn’t do anything to earn.

That’s not also the problem. They did NOTHING to AFKers in Reach FF, although the hundreds of complaints about them. But we can’t call them out like you could in a normal society to deal with the problem straight away. But in Spartan ops, you spawn on them if you die, and if they haven’t even moved from the beginning of the level, you have to make your way every time. ¬_¬

I dont know about all that. I’ve played alot of games of Spartan Ops and I can safely say I have never had a AFK person playing.

Maybe some quitters, never any AFKers.

Just ignore them. I mean there’s nothing we can do about it and they aren’t going to stop. Grats, they maxed out their level without doing anything. Just let the boosters boost, they aren’t really gaining anything out of it. They will be high leveled but wont know how to play the game.

You do realize you don’t even get 300 xp, right?( Learned that the hard way)

Try searching a public game - spartan ops, on valhalla, mission shootout, solo always. Most of them have even mics on.

EDIT : I could even post usernames i have come across so far but that would be against the rules.

At least you havent come across the dreaded Gangnam Styler, like I did in my last game.

Pretty much just stood there, spinning around and destroying our Mantis’, blasting that stupid song over the mic.

All I can say is play with friends or don’t play at all, it’s much more enjoyable that way.

I have AFK, but only when my so called team mates start the stupid destroy your mantis over and over. I won’t bother and just go take cover.
