This has to be addressed ASAP. I do not mean to attack this person directly because I’m sure he’s not the only one but I need to bring light to the devs that this is happening and it’s as simple as rubber banding Weapon Swap on your controller. I’ve been grinding for hours on end to get my SR to 61 and have been trying to burn through my REQs as fast as possible only for people like this guy to come home to free REQ Points and EXP. Not only is this disheartening to us players but it is literally costing 343 money due to the REQ system giving you the option to buy packs.
While I think it sucks people are doing this, the blame can be placed on the entire REQ system.
On previous games if you wanted Armor for example, you had to do certain achievements some wich were tied to MM, since now it is all about gathering points, and Arena giving so little while Warzone gives a bigger amount whether you win or loose (Apart from the game type being broken) it is no wonder people are AFKing to get Req points.

As far as ive seen, the req system is just like reach except you cant pick the armors you earn. Better reqs need better packs, and in general you have to earn the lowest ones first, and progress up. The problem here has nothing to do with that, its an afk ban issue.

Good for you for bringing this to light. I just don’t want to see you banned from the forums for pointing out a legitimate problem.

Sorry about that. I wasn’t trying to call anyone out but just get this known. I reported the person I just wanted this to spread so the devs can know. While you’re right about Reach Idling this is much more important since this is costing 343 money. Packs he may have bought with money are now being farmed while he’s not even playing. Thanks for not completely closing the post hopefully it is still seen.

Certainly. When you’re trying to clear our the last 1-2 defenders or take a base while being a man short it’s extremely in the opposing teams advantage. On top of that he’s earning cool Legendary skins and vehicles without even playing.

They are not really loosing money as it is clear this guy did not intend to pay for Req packs to begin with.
But farming at the cost of others (Having your team 1 man short) is just bad, doubt however anything will be done just like nothing was done on Reach.
I’ve noticed lots of people hiding at the back crouching behind some thing just wiggling away some times in the last minute of battle they join but that’s no help.

No this isn’t just “wiggling around” he did it for 30+ games in a row.

I’ve tried replicating this by holding “Y” down. It does not work. He has some sort of program doing this which is also against ToS

I can guarantee you are wrong on this. Because of the way the microtransaction system is laid out I can almost promise you they are taking AFK Boosting much more serious.
