It seems as though in the past week, to me at least, that the quantity of AFK players has gone up drastically. I jumped on for the first time today and have played two games. I played a game of Team Snipers and then a game in Team Throwdown. In both games there were AFK players. 3 total in snipers. Two on my team and one on the other. One on my team later quit. Then in Team Throwdown, it was again 3 players AFK. Two on the other team this time, one on mine. But these guys would play, move around a bit, shoot a couple of times, and then nothing. My thought was that they were exploiting the Anti-AFK measures, if there are any.
My point is, why do people do this and what is 343i doing to stop this? I don’t want to go into my favorite playlists only to get AFK players on both sides. What’s the fun in that?
Also, this seems to be a continuous problem with the progression ranking system. Any game you hop into with this ranking system will have some AFK players. Just another reason to get rid of it and go back to the true CSR or some new re-vamped version of it.
