AFK players ruining multiplayer

Yes, although i think it would be more effective if they just play realy bad, because i believe that would give them a lower k/d ánd a lower accuracy, wich both counts if im not mistaken.

Given that the LemonJungle6536 tag has zero history in other Halo games, he’s probably been banned at least once already.

Obviously on BTB the timer would be extended, but if you’re telling me that a player can’t find and shoot at someone within 25 seconds I have to wonder what you’re doing. Even without looking for people in 4v4 I can usually find someone to shoot within 10-15 seconds.

But what would your suggestion be then?

You should thank them for the opportunity to practice for ranked when the system places you a man down or your teammate AFKs because “they have as many deaths as the entire team combined” (true story, just happened).

People go afk? I seriously don’t get it when you literally have to complete challenges to get any progression on your battlepass lmao

It’s not them being afk so much as them getting no response from the game, but then they try to wait it out to no avail, thus having to force close the game and get banned because of leaving. I’ve had this happen to me, and if I don’t leave, I literally wait forever. I tested this for about 15 minutes, and legit, the game would not let me leave until I force closed the game.

Proceed as normal.

Reserve bans for players who really cheat.
Then, instead of bans, make it so that ban-qualifying players are separated into another pool of players, who they can only match with, quitters, AFKers, team killers etc.
Require a set amount of “clean” matches to get out, no challenges are tracked here, no stats tracked, have a watermark on the screen somewhere if a video is recorded to show the player being in the shame-games.
Repeat offenders would need more “clean” matches to get out of the shame-box.
