I for one think that Halos’s air combat has sucked eggs. How epic would it be to look up and see players having intense dogfights. The falcon was nothing more than a flying Hog, we need actual jets. The banshee is only good for spamming the B bomb because the cannons were useless. A Hog and a ghost aren’t meant to go head on. They serve two different purposes. We need fast, maneuvarable, and durable aircraft meant for one thing air superiority. I recommend the Saber( atmospheric version) and the Seraph for this particular role. Please don’t let this get buried.
I’ve always wanted to have a Longsword fighter to be usable.
It would take on the role of a fighter jet, which would mix gameplay up a little.
16 player maximum wouldn’t work with this. Now BF3, that’s a different story. EPIC!!
You’re getting into BF3 territory, but jet battles are awesome, so I’m on board with it.
currently, neither side has adequate jet-style vehicles
the Sabre is meant for Space, and Space only
besides, its too damn fast
Saraph is also too damn fast
Longsword is too overpowered, it has Gatling cannons that fire 110mm rounds, that’s like having the warthog’s LAAG turret shoot scorpion rounds
Shortsword has no means on defending itself
he already have the Hornet on the UNSC’s side
and Reach’s banshee is Overpowered, with a side of underpoweredness
That sounds awesome Ive been wanting halo to have a dogfight gametype its something alot of games haven’t tried in multiplayer and I would love to see halo as the first
banshees in the halo trailers… “delivery hope” were fine with speed and stuff as well as in halo wars cutscenes “5 years” had fine damage with primary weapons.
Unsc would be fine with the Pelican…it serves well as both fighter and transport…not to mention phantom “an upgraded version” for covanant
i agree. the airfights do feel a bit boring now, i hope they add an awesome vehicle.

What about the Hawk from halo wars? That has hover and flight mode for speed and precision, it carries regular turret rounds with rockets, they would be perfect in a dog fight situation.
Please Thank if you agree.

That reminds me of an F35…I’m all in.

That’s what jets do, go fast. We could extend the boundaries of the map to aerial vehicles. Don’t worry about the Hornets and Banshees, they could act as ground support.
The air maps in Battlefield 3 are rather lame on the ground in my opinion. Because they have to be huge to do anything (an realistically they are still way to small, air to air combat starts miles out)
But the same problem occurs as in Reach, The Sabre part was fun, but took forever to load and was still rather short. Stuff like that is so far away from what the engine is deigned to do that it suffers for it. I can’t imagine anything like that being multiplayer, but it would be nice to have banshee and human banshee equivalent battles that didn’t suck.
