Hey guys, this is my first forum post in a while, just want to share my thoughts on advertising. Of course, I want Halo 4 to do well and sell well, and I think that now the franchise is owned by Microsoft we have a real advantage.
If we advertise the product enough - it well sell. Simple. I just seen on Xbox’s Facebook page that they have given NFL players previews of Halo 4, so Microsoft are already trying to advertise Halo 4.
What way do you guys think theyll advertise it, or hope? Im hoping for another trailer at E3, I think so far 343 have done a great job building up the hype to the game, and I think that if they keep that up then Halo 4 will be succesful.
However, COD Black Ops has just been announced, and the release date will is speculated to be in November. If this is true, how do you think this will influence the sales? Is COD still the giant that will outsell Halo, or are people getting tired of it and going back to Halo?
Microsoft, correct me if I’m wrong, is the richest or one of the richest companies in the world. To keep the Xbox 360 more popular and to show off their best exclusive, I think they should focus on allot of advertisement, much more than any other video game. They need this game, it doesn’t matter if Microsoft itself is at a loss. If this game gets more popular than previous titles, more sales in Xbox 360’s - more players on Xbox Live - more money for Microsoft - more players on Halo.
Also might I add, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 could possibly be releasing the same day as Halo 4, a week or two weeks after. Sometime in November (I think it’s confirmed?). So it’ll be really tough for Halo 4 but lets hope people choose Halo 4

Yeah, but Bungie was never a part of Microsoft - 343 is.
