Advertising changes for halo 5

With halo 4, major campaign spoilers were shown in commercials and gameplay to the point where I knew what was going to happen in each point of the game (the key part was releasing the didact).

I think in halo 5 people should be in the dark about the game for as long as possible about the plot so it isn’t ruined by a simple commercial.

Does anyone agree with me?

I don’t know about you but my aspirations for Halo 5 are set pretty high. There is still so much lacking in the gameplay. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve played Halo since Halo: Combat Evolved came out but lets be honest. Other franchises are picking up on some pretty basic combat skills. For one, taking cover. Not even in ODST when the players wasn’t a super soldier with a shield from Valhalla, did Bungie think to incorporate taking cover. And that is common sense. But that aside, here is what I think Halo 5 should include.

I think the next Halo multiplayer should be class based. I keep thinking about Brink and how each class has a unique set of skills that each mission usually requires two or more classes to complete. And then there are secondary missions that can help you achieve a main mission faster like repairing the bridge or stairs so you don’t have to go around the long way through the fatal funnel or setting up turrets so that you can create a fatal funnel. My point being, the ODST’s are my favorite part of Halo just like the Clones are my favorite part of Star Wars. Point being, they should have different options for classes. Like if you pick ODST, you may not be able to move as fast or jump as high as a spartan, or carry heavy weapons but you get the silent weapons and the flying skills. Because lets be honest not all spartans are qualified on flying. As an ODST you could pick between SpecOps sniper, or vehicle mastery. Then as you level up you unlock certain perks and skills that would help you achieve the other. Then as a Spartan, you can choose between battlefield domination or weapon mastery meaning you can unlock any weapon accessory possible from the start, or upgrade your grenades and shields to be an unstoppable juggernaut. Also you could start off as a marine where all you get is your rifle and your HUD but you earn power-ups quicker like air drops or weapon drops or even vehicle drops. Then of course there is the Oni Intelligence Officers who can create missions and lead teams into battle. These are the hackers and engineers in the group which leads me to my next big upgrade. Interactive maps. To me there was nothing cooler than in Halo 3 (I forget the map) but you could sneak in and open the gates for your buddies to come guns blazing. It was a dual party map. You had to have a friend with an open line of communication to plan the attack that would devastate the opposing team. After being bunkered down in a barrel for 5 minutes these fish were ready to get out but there is no way to go. Oh wait, there is an air vent large enough for a Spartan to stand up in but what if you could set mines in the vent. That would be a job for a Spec Ops ODST, and then the Spartans would have to hold their ground outside the gate until the ODST’s could open it. Then as the enemy was ready to launch their own Spartans, you just blow them up as they chase you through the vents. BOOM! Mind blown.

EPIC. And don’t just save these special maps for Multiplayer. Open them up to Spartan Ops and Firefight because nothing is better abotu Halo than Firefight. I still call up my buddies and if they have time that’s how we keep in touch. We slaughter some alien scum while -Yoinking!- about our day. Nothing is better except for Drunken Halo night.

I’m not trying to be rude, but that didn’t reply to anything that I wrote at all. I was talking about advertising the game not the mechanics of it.

Yes! Halo 4 was ruined by the commercial. It took the sense of mystery away from the story. Halo 5’s commercial should have a mysterious feeling and use old music! Just trust me, it needs a classic song.
