You do know that Waypoint has a Youtube channel right? They post a lot videos of CEA gameplay/news on it.
343i uses the best and most efficient adversing, word of mouth.
Its also free.
Just because you don’t see commercials about CE:A on your television doesn’t mean 343i’s not advertising it. Check out the Halo Waypoint YouTube channel, or events such as Halo Fest. Those are all advertisements in one way or another.

Incorrect, some of the greatest games are not well known because of the lack of advertising like COD for example… However, that’s an entirely different story.
Halo is well known name (due it’s awesome universe and top quality products) plus the word of mouth is highly effective and free.
In conjunction with the online videos detailing various parts of the Halo series (Halo 4, CE:A etc etc) that shows off the game (and the universe) even further. I’d say Halo is pretty safe in those departments.
