Are you running Windows 7? If so, make sure you have the latest Windows updates installed.

I tried downloading directx and got this message: An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and Direct.log into your Windows folder to determine the problem. I have no idea what I am doing, am I not a tech savy person

Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to download DirectX specifically. I meant to try to install the latest official operating system update for Windows 7 (assuming that’s the OS which you are running).

This fixed it for me too.

There are certain application or software requires the advapi32.dll file to run. When you try to run these certain applications or software then it will show this error if the file is missing or corrupted. If anyone still getting the same error can go through online a post and try fix advapi32.dll missing file or firstly of all check your recycle bin and you many come to it then restore it back form there and this would advapi32.dll fix it.
